Live resin is nice but not definitely not a necessity and usually I just get live resin in normal grams instead of a cart.

I'm not anti-carts and I realize that lots of portable oil vapes or atomizers can be really fiddly/messy/PITA, but I just can't make the compromise for the price. I do appreciate the ease of throwing a pen in your pocket and being able to pull on it for days without maintenance but you can get some insane extract products at something like a $50 price point. Of course you have to have some sort of ability/privacy to carry around and reload dabs along with your device. And most of them need occasional cleaning. But I also smoke too much weed so it's a lot easier to burn through cheap grams that I buy 5 at a time when I'm just chucking chunks of shatter into the vape. Either way it's pretty amazing to live in a place where I can do my thing and anyone who just wants to buy cartridges can do that and either one is still crazy high quality. Hopefully 2021 is a good year for legalization across other parts of the country.

Where I'm at carts might add on an extra 5 bucks a gram, ten at the most. That makes them worth it (to me at least) since they're so handy, especially when I'm snowboarding, driving, taking a walk, taking a bike ride, etc. But every time I get a cart or two I also get a gram or more of other extract. I do have a vape pen that's refillable and has a crucible to put extract into, but I just don't enjoy using it as much. Basically, it's mainly worth it for me purely due to ease of use. Good to have plenty of other sources as well though and save the carts until you need them.

I basically only do vape pens now, especially since I have a med card and can regularly get 1g carts for like $40 now. It was a bit less of a value proposition when a 500mg cart was $50 for rec most of the time. Though between the cheaper store brand and the more expensive live resin carts, I definitely think the live resin carts last a bit longer. Or maybe that's what I tell myself to justify buying them over the store brand ones.

You could have left some alcohol to it and took shots of it, it's basically a tincture in everclear. At this point you could melt it into butter for a while on low heat and toss it into food. Definitely something that will mask the flavor. Quick and dirty, a little dollop in some peanut butter. It's not going to be a flavor you will enjoy, and the potency of reclaim is variable. I've always treated reclaim as 30-50% the potency of the hash you feed your rig, so you'll likely have to use 20-30mg to get a similar high to 10mg store bought. I think CBN winds up being one of the most prominent molecules in reclaim, which iirc makes people sleepy, so this is more an evening thing than a wake and munch. Play, you can smoke reclaim but it tastes awful. I'm sure everclear has a different taste over iso, but both will burn again. It's already decarbed though, having been through the hot banger or whatever, so food is just a simple route for it. Also the shop I hit calls their solventless 'rosin' and it varies in consistency. thanks, i'll give it a try some time this week. good to know that my cleaning method returns something useful. i put my piece on a trivet in my pressure cooker, filled the cooker with water and the piece with everclear and set it to boil for a few hours. much cleaner than what i got with iso and salt and far less work e: if you do this don't put your face over it or you will get ethanol into your body the wrong way

I definitely get high, but it's not consistent, the flavor is mediocre and the experience overall just is nowhere near as satisfying as blazing a bowl. Yes, I'm starting at the lowest temp, I'm using a fine grind, I'm packing it tight BUT NOT TOO TIGHT, I'm letting it warm up properly, etc.

The first time I bought a vape, it was about being discreet, not about flavor or high. Every vape I bought after seemed to reinforce that until concentrates became mainstream, which is where vaping really shines. Smoke your flower, vape the wax they blast out of leaves and trim bin leftovers.
