Fungah! posted:that side quest pwns, majima realizing he designed a new tax is pure gold lol yeah, it really starts taking off once majima gets into the whole thing. i think so far my favorite side stories have all been majima's (doll girl, the cult quest, and bag phone guy all own), but i like playing as kiryu more overall for some reason. got a little too drunk on the valentine's day wine and started getting emotional about the doll girl quest, thinking "drat, imagine someone so small and helpless caring about you that much, looking up at you with those starry eyes" before my son interrupted to call for a glass of water and i was like "oh, yeah...."

finally finished and absolutely loved yakuza 0. my only complaint which i got over pretty quickly after the second time it happened and just accepted that This Is The Way Things Are was that bullets just don't seem to hurt people in the yakuza universe. when someone gets stabbed though you know they're done for

Some of the Yakuza games have extremely powerful cutscene guns. It all just depends on who's being shot at.

My complaint with yakuza 0 and most yakuza games is they never really feel like the period of time they're supposed to take place in. Y0 doesn't really feel like the 80s and K1 doesn't really feel like the early aughts.

7 is very good. It has a few ties to 6 specifically and also just the general themes of the series as a whole, but you won't be missing out on much by playing it after 0 instead of at the end.

But K2 is the first time she’s in a main story
