Friends, today I am an official card carrying weed smoker.  I've talked to friends about it and they're all just saying how they'll never do it because prices are so high at the dispensaries. I'm a big boy with a big boy job and a big boy salary now and am happy to pay a premium to never have to meet a drug dealer again. I also don't need to buy like a pound of weed at a time, picking up a half usually lasts me a month or so.

The difference isn't even that great when you factor in quality. Black market stuff is probably around 60-70% the cost, but the quality fluctuates and there is no guarantee that it's clean stuff. It's definitely worth it to me

I grew weed for the first time, and it turned out really good, and I'm feeling pretty proud of myself right now.   Her name was Grace and she yielded about 1.5oz. When you smoke kief do you mix it with weed in the bowl or sprinkle it on top? I find when I mix it around with the weed the granularity of the kief makes the bowl keep burning which is not desirable. When I sprinkle kief on the top of the bowl and don't mix it I get like a strong hit right at the start of the bowl which is p. great and seems like the way to go. Just askin what the proper way is

So I just finished my first session with my Fury Edge and I think I've finally found the vaporizer I like. That first bowl was Grapefruit Durban and I started at 360F, holy loving flavors. It tasted absolutely delicious, better than any other bowl I've vaped. Gonna see how much I can milk out of what's still in there, but overall super happy. Great flavor, good vapor production, device itself has a really nice feel and you can tell it's a quality product. Thanks for the recommendation goons!

I busted out my 31% THCA that I had on reserve while I nursed my tolerance back down with some 19% and thereabouts and I can honestly say it makes a big fuckin' difference.

I was thinking about how to convert grams to ounces, and like what the gently caress was the person who invented the imperial system smoking? Who would come up with something OTHER than a base-10 system to measure things? Like hold up your hands jackass, how many fingers do you have? That's what you should use as the basis of dividing things.

Doesn't really answer your question but when I was doing some research into medieval economics I think I read something about one of the few advantages of the English pence/shilling/pound system was that it was easy to split them. 12 pence to a shilling and 20 shillings to a pound. For example if you wanted to split a 100 dollar bill with three people you'd have a penny left over, but if three people split a pound each would get 80 pence even. Another thing I came across was a way to count to 12 on a single hand by counting each segment of a finger as a single unit instead of the whole finger, apparently a common thing in many Asian countries. sorry im high

The counting thing is common. If you like rabbit holes while high, put some QI on youtube. Older episodes if you like Stephen Fry, but Sandy is doing great, just less recognizable. Their podcast, No Such Thing As A Fish, is also very good, by their writers/researchers.

I have decided I will do a full Fury Edge review for you guys, now that I've finished my second bowl! I'll break it down into categories, since my brain doesn't feel like thinking about paragraph structure and poo poo right now. Build quality / hand feels: 10/10 here. The unit is extremely solid, has 3 buttons on the front, mouthpiece on the top, USB-C charging port on the bottom. Heavier than the Pax 2, but feels a lot better made. It's Pax-level minimal design and I love it. The mouthpiece snaps on/off to reveal the heating chamber, which also lets you use different accessories and poo poo. The Bowl / Vapor Production: The bowl / heating chamber is wonderfully sized for me. I can get 2-3 sessions out of one bowl, starting low (360-370) and working my way up to 430 over the sessions. Vapor production is top notch for a handheld unit. I've used some of the higher end ones (Brick and whatever Mighty) and this definitely compares on that front. Was also able to squeeze a lot more out of the bowl than I'm used to with either the Pax 2 or the G Pen Pro. Charge: It's great. 5-6 sessions per charge, charge takes between 1 and 2 hours. It uses USB-C, which means I always have a way to charge it. Probably one of my favorite features on it. Other comments: Seems to be very easy to clean, no "pathway" to clear like the Pax 2, since you can remove the glass mouthpiece. I ordered the capsules and I'm pretty sure that will fix the ONLY issue I've seen, which is the tiniest amount of flower not properly heating at the VERY top of the bowl. Otherwise, I am extremely happy. its 2021 and weed has been legal here for several years already, and I still need to pass a piss test for this job because they do a lot of driving and field work in multiple states. Even though the position im applying for would be work from home + an occasional office visit. Thankfully they said the hiring process takes a while, so I can at least smoke up for my birthday this weekend and have enough time to detox after. My current job said they piss tested and I worked my rear end off to be clean in two weeks. Im thankfully on the skinny side and don't smoke that much. I ran daily, went to the sauna, drank tons of liquids, tested myself, and took a lot of activated charcoal pills (theres a study on it, look it up). When it got to testing time it turns out they didn't even test for cannabis. I mentioned it to my coworker, who had a background in the cannabis industry, and he said he literally just called HR and asked if they tested for cannabis when he took the job offer.
