A real estate agent trying really hard posted:If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary-wise, what is, it wouldn't be and what it wouldn't be, it would, you see. This is entirely bonkers but I'll tell you a secret, all the best houses are. Sunken conversations rise to incredible heights. Tables that clearly show the wonders of the deep. Waterfalls and rooftop gardens. Outside/inside and angles of peculiar destinations. Mirrors that reflect upside down. Bridges that lead to spaces with no faces. Closed windows with light from unexpected places. Somethings real, somethings created - all things coming together to form an unexpected adventure through the mind of a visionary man. This could be your dream and you could decide where it goes from here. My parents have one that has a timer and a light and you can put away the iron while it's still hot. Built-in thread storage, now that's a new one on me (actually that's not great because thread accumulates dust and gums up your sewing machine. I keep my thread in a drawer)

We got the house painted and we used a color! We like it! We have a lot of artwork stored up we've been dying to hang up and it finally finishes the major cosmetic upgrades we've saved up for, including our (my wife's) library. Siding ladder coming soon. SW has a straight up "low sheen" mix. The color is darkening up nicely to a rich blue that we saw in the samples. Here the scheme, but we ended up getting the grey (DE Porpoise) darkened a shade because it was way lighter in SW. The color is vibrant enough that with warm lighting it just reads almost cobalt and dark enough to read as navy when the lights are off; we offset the darkness with the extremely clean white and a light grey on the walls that didn't have a chair rail (basically hallway and guest rooms). It's so good with making colors pop IRL. Wasabi the J fucked around with this message at 22:14 on May 4, 2021 |

LRV of 7 by low sheen do you mean you did flat? If so I hope it doesn't suck too much light out of the room

actionjackson posted:last house is cool but why would I want concrete floors? incredibly cold (literally) and uninviting It was built in the 50s so it probably doesn’t have in-floor heating, but you can apparently retrofit it if that’s your bag. I think it’s a cool look personally in the right space, but it definitely requires a certain sort of lifestyle to get the most out of it.

Don't get concrete floors if you're a butter fingers. Nearly all glass containers, and surprisingly many plastic containers, will break if you drop them on concrete. Drop your plastic ketchup bottle? Carnage.
