If you put your left hand (or right) on a wall (or, I guess, imagine the rpg character doing this) and follow along the wall this will fully explore most mazes. Only works if the walls of the maze are made from a single piece and if there's no horseshit like trap doors or teleport traps.

after spending a couple of hours probably combing hte overworld and talking to ppl and going insane because i couldn't figure out what i needed to do to open the locked chests in the shrine basement i finally figured yesterday out that the graphics i was mistaking for open chests were actually graphics for unlocked chests and i hadnt checked and opened them yet

rest assured, there is a treasure box key that you have to have to open the chests that look like they're closed, and it is in a treasure box that looks like its already open. playing chronicles btw, i don't htink i had this problem with the pce game

the superboss in dq4 is kinda underwhelming, but the bonus dungeon was deece and that final battle was loving awesome. glad I finally checked out chapter 6 after kind of just not doing it the first time I played.
