"airborne clutter" (including birds) is a possibility for some incidents, but i doubt it explains incidents where multiple sensors/eyes see something moving at hypersonic speeds and pulling several hundred Gs but maybe you know of some special birds. Too bad uncle sam will never declassify the full details
