Realtor makes sure to note however that "This was her final resting place that she lived in until her death, NOT the house where the murders happened." which is kind of disappointing tbh

I love the Tres Piedras one, but lord, would it be no fun getting those floors clean. And I bet once you get older (I am older) those floors are uneven enough to be a significant fall hazard/unfriendly to walkers. Where do y'all mail-order curtains from? I realize that this boils down to "Depends on your taste", but who are vendors you consider reliable, with good-quality products? I need to order room-darkening curtains and I have realized that I'm never going to have the energy to sew them myself.

D34THROW posted:What the living hell is an earthship The idea is to have as close to a carbon neutral (or carbon negative) dwelling as possible. So they're made with super insulating walls from local materials, use active and passive solar, typically have heat pumps, grey water recycling, etc etc. Mostly really cool stuff, with the side effect of often having a thicc look from plaster over adobe/rammed earth/hay bale construction.

I love those passive solar plant rooms. Also a fan of the bottles built into the walls. There used to be this show on the local PBS station called, "Rare Visions and Roadside Revelations" where the hosts would travel around and visit weird roadside attractions and outsider art installations. The bottle wall is a more restrained version of the concrete mosaic yard grotto.

the new cabinet doors and drawers are being put togehter, and then the bathroom will finally be done! The mudding, patching and painting finished, and I finally put up my new mirror. I also put in a new grohe faucet.

Idlewild_ posted:Looks gorgeous, I really love the colour you chose. Very sophisticated and calming. thank you! It's Bracing Blue from SW, it's blue with a grey undertone with an LRV of 25 Since this bathroom doesn't have any windows, I wanted to lighten it up - it used to have a dark brown paint with an LRV of 5! So I'm getting rid of all the brown, so the color scheme is blue - gray - white. I had the floor retiled with a dark gray matte 12x24 tile Once the new cabinet doors and drawers are done, I will post more pics. They will be larger to give a frameless look, and have no hardware, instead using this. I plan to do the same thing in the kitchen next year https://www.blum.com/us/en/products/motion-technologies/tip-on/overview/

I wonder how hard the realtor fought to stage that room without slain animals in it. It's got to be one of those things where the owner thinks its actually a selling point. Basically, always do what your realtor says to stage, which is pretty much clear literally everything out except furniture. This includes rugs, bathroom rugs, etc, which I was surprised about. But all of that makes things look far better and less cluttered in photos.
