I assume the hurricane has already resulted in an absolute poo poo load of deaths, but it will be a while before we hear about them, hell who knows how long they can keep them out of the statistics. The east wall of the hurricane passed directly over my parents' house, where they stayed the whole time. Their house is raised like 20 feet off the ground and they said the wind was really scary. It's flooded pretty bad there, with water up to their mailbox. Good thing the government paid to raise their house! But because of this, new orleans and jefferson parish(where my parents are) will be without power for like 2 whole months, apparently. There are many areas like this. This all seems like a really bad environment to be having a plague in!
