I already had a huge shouting match with my whole family over my brother refusing to get vaxxed because he was waiting for Moderna to become available, on top of not telling me I was potentially exposed to COVID when I saw him on New Year's, and on top of them trying to guilt-trip me into visiting them to have lunch while we all watch my sister's virtual graduation (why not just watch it separately if it's loving virtual!!!) he already has gotten vaxxed since, but the next inflection point is going to be Christmas some days I wish they'd stop talking to me just so I wouldn't have to keep telling them to stop inviting me to things

I don't post about it but one of my younger brothers passed away this past February from a severe asthma attack (weird coincidence huh?) which, as you can imagine, has been beyond hellish for my parents, especially for my conservative emotionally damaged alcoholic father. The only "good" thing to come out of it was I told my parents and my surviving brother they need to get vaccinated ASAP, which they all did at the time. poo poo sucks man, life is unfair and you're not alone.

The day after my diagnosis. the cough is the worst part of this illness along with the splitting headache. coughed so much my back is hurting too. had the vaccine but still a bit worried. had a heart attack 6 years ago so my heart is fragile. cardiologist was called because my heart rate won’t go below 100 beats per minute and averages over 110. was told the virus will give your lung fibrosis whether you got the vaccine or not so that’s why my heart rate is elevated. the head of the immunology center took a lot of samples and told me that the vaccine is poor at putting antibodies in the nasal cavity so they are developing a vaccine they can administer as a spray in the nose. he said the virus enters the nose for the most part.

- I think this is hosed up and beyond the pale, and if you tried to do this poo poo in the US there would be shootouts as a result. My own general personal tendency would be to be vocally noncompliant with such a thing because I despise needing to ever know where my cellphone is. Unless my wife and I are apart, I see my phone as a one way conduit for me to contact the world, not the other way around. Also we don't even have service in many places including pockets of our own land, ha. I'll be curious to see how that goes, this one does not seem like a good model to follow.

Moderna booster report : got the budget J&J back in March (1st available) and decided that I am not waiting on CDC to get around to deciding I can only have more J&J 7 months from now. Registered online at CVS with real name, no insurance info. Tons of open slots. They didn't even ask for ID when I went in and got shot #1. Will also go back in a month for shot #2. Not much of a reaction to the shot outside of a sore arm and slight fever/chills at night. Had slightly more reaction to the J&J.
