The new obscura is pretty good because it feels like it was written in 2003. I wonder what other melodeath bands they stole riffs from for the album. In Adversity is the best song on the album go ahead and @ me

New Phrenelith dropped a couple of days early, and it's great. If you have any interest in that rough around the edges scandi old school death metal sound I'd highly recommend it.

Apologies if this was posted already, but Mark from excellent hardcore-tinged-death metal band Fuming Mouth was just diagnosed with acute myloid leukemia. There's a GoFundMe link in this article if folks are so inclined. If you haven't checked out Fuming Mouth, their debut LP The Grand Descent from 2019 is awesome. Heavy as poo poo, riffs on riffs. One of my favorite LPs of the past few years. Burning Hand is an absolute banger.
