Does anyone have updated (post-Delta) statistics about survival rates for young (under 40) patients who are put on a ventilator? Need them kind of urgently.

I don't know, all I'm seeing in the US news is about how mild it is and we need even less restrictions on quarantines now otherwise people might lie and go to work positive (actual thing CNN medical analyst said)

Additionally, the CDC recommends surgical N95s be worn only by healthcare personnel who need protection from both airborne and fluid hazards. These respirators are not used or needed outside of healthcare settings.

Probably a little quicker for delta. A patient who gets infected today who ends up dying from their infection will probably die around the end of January.

It's not ignorance but obvious, premeditated collusion in service of Capital and making number go up. It should be criminal Side note, it's weird to me how much more common this sort of obvious media collusion/blackout stuff has become since 2016. Maybe I just wasn't paying attention before, but it's like some kind of death spiral where the less trust in the media there is the less the media feels obligated to even pretend they're not doing what they're doing Kylaer posted:Nothing to do with long covid, that's the infection-to-death timeline. 8 weeks is on the long side, mostly it has seemed to be more like 5 or 6 weeks. Just scheduled my girlfriend a rapid test appointment tomorrow morning. She visited our landlord last Friday to drop off a rent check and visit (landlord is a family friend, cheap rent and zero fucks about pets, its a great deal). Landlord's whole family was visibly sick, said they all caught the flue. She left as soon as it was polite (about 10-15 minutes) but wasn't masked either. Both shots + booster (all Pfizer) at the beginning of November, so hopefully that all holds up. She's been tired and coughing often this week but neither of those are unusual for her.

Considering the use of the word surgical. Though I'm not familiar with sterile face masks considering you can't 'sterilize' them and also you'd be wearing moonsuits if you need full body sterile surgeons.

It's why you had people just falling over and dying in the early days.

CDC is trying really, really hard to keep decent masks away from the people
