the fanservice in bisque doll doesn't really go any harder than it does now. she cosplays a couple horny outfits but the camera never really goes any harder on that than it did in the first ep, at least in the manga. the worst it gets is an outfit thats clearly based on ramlethal from guilty gear. https://twitter.com/somberness/status/1328398767310188544 and the random slight hint of underwear stuff is mostly skipped in favor of the cosplay stuff, which at least has more context to it. if anything id say the most you can expect is marin talking about the porn VNs she reads but you dont get any CGs from them or anything she just talks about how cute a guy is when hes the class president's slave or w/e. idk why people are vagueposting so creepily or w/e grouchio is talking about. there's a sexual tension element to the story but its less all-in on it than even something like, say, nichijou or shokugeki no souma or whatever, to say nothing of actual ecchi stuff like to-love-ru. if the first ep was fine for you you'll be fine going forward.

It's horny in that it's a romcom about a hormonal teenage couple where the dude makes sexy outfits for a sexy girl who enjoys teasing him. So, yeah, kind of baked into the premise. Also, (future manga spoilers) there's an entire arc about her learning to be a sexy teenage boy in order to melt the minds of an all-female panel of judges, for a bit of variety.

There's dozens and dozens of Local Hero sentais all over Japan, early ones started out as low budget shows on local TV stations but many of the current ones are pretty much spokespeople for their prefecture who do stage shows and teach children social values (such as Traffic Sentai Anzenger and Recycle Sentai Wakerunger) and some represent corporations and some seem to be just random dudes https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Local_hero_(Japan) I'm guessing the anime contacted a bunch of them and asked if they wanted to be featured in a scene and a bunch of them leapt at the chance

I read a little bit of the Bisque Doll manga but dropped it since it was drawn a little too thirsty for me and I got the same basic vibe from the PV, but to me that includes stuff like detailed closeups on the female characters' faces with a lot of like, mouth detail and camera angles pointing at breasts and crotches on fully clothed characters. Things like that can feel kind of uncomfortable to me without being excessively skeevy in general and I don't think I would categorize Bisque Doll as some kind of ultra-horny anime for perverts, it just looks at the female characters with a gaze I am not personally comfortable experiencing. The story seems cute, and it doesn't really seem like the kind of show that would warrant a bunch of yikes emotes or people vagueposting about it to make it seem worse than it is.

That is definitely understandable; I was initially put off the manga because there was a bit too much random fanservice shots of panties/cleavage (outside of what you'd expect from just the cosplay stuff) and I think it's totally fair to decide that it was something you don't want to engage with. Thankfully the anime has so far been dropping the extra little shots in favor of keeping the more plot/joke relevant shots, so I am tentatively hopeful it will continue to dial things back a bit.

I echo what someone upthread said that I think the next episode should be the "worst" in that aspect, though there is a character introduction in this season that isn't great either. But the show, or rather manga, really evolved into something I enjoy. Seeing them tone down some of the fanservice in the anime is promising and I hope it continues, because the strengths of Bisque Doll are entirely on the two main characters being super loveable and cute together. The level of detail it goes into cosplay stuff is interesting as well, as even though I have no interest, it's always neat seeing some more behind the scenes stuff into a world I otherwise have zero context for. It is a shame that the anime won't get to the school festival arc, because that was a huge highlight for me.
