Iowa State is in a weird spot. They have 8 quad 1 wins, which is tied for 2nd in the nation, but are 9th in the Big 12 and have really struggled lately. I think they make the tournament because they have some winnable games coming up with OU, WVU, and Okie State all coming to Ames. Even the game at KSU is winnable. @Baylor is a definite loss unless the Bears are missing a bunch of people. They could easily go 4-1 down the stretch, or go 2-3. 4-1 and they're in, 2-3 and they'll need at least a couple wins in the Big 12 tournament to make the NCAAs.

I am living for the level of petty coming out of TTU. Texas stopped single game ticket sales for the game because they noticed a sharp uptick in sales earlier this week of people using the season ticket holder "secret pass" to get around the barrier to buying tickets. They deduced that the code had leaked to Tech fans and that Tech fans were about to fill up the rest of the arena. They are "holding" those seats for students and running free food, shirts, etc promotions to get them there. We'll see how that works. This is all hilarious but what UT doesn't realize is that that code has been known for months on the tech sites. The people that waited for this week to buy tickets were just the few last minute folks. What's more, Tech fans with more spite than money and more money than brains have purchased thousands of season tickets for UT basketball games. They had good season ticket sales this year, but so many seats have been empty with tickets unactivated because they're held by TTU folks. I'm really curious how many tech fans make it in to the arena tomorrow. I'd guess that the attendance is in the 14k range, and 6k of those are for Tech.

If Howard is pressing out of competitiveness, he better accept that someone else is going to make a coaching call out of competitiveness. Gard didn't have to take his starters out. A 19-point lead in the last minute isn't absolutely infallible. Howard shouldn't be mad it was a timeout. He should be thankful that Gard's reaction wasn't to tell his players to get physical in response to the press. I have known coaches to do that.

If it was senior night, I could see the time out (get some names in the box score), but Wisconsin has two more home games. It was wild to see live, CBS started the ttile crawl and music then just... didn't cut to commercial. Some michigan players landed some pretty nasty haymakers at the end there. I have a feeling this is going to be a mess to unravel.
