Order of Gostomel airport battle as far as anyone can tell ~15-30 russian transport helicopters with several attack helicopter escorts are filmed flying towards the airport. At least a couple were shot down either on the approach or as they departed, including at least one of the very new ka-52s (known because there's footage of the pilot ejecting, which, for obvious reasons, is not a feature most helicopters have). Helicopters were apparently targeted both with surface AA and by Ukranian jets Some sounds of scattered fighting around airport, this is roughly the time of the eponymous cnn video Russians call off plans to send in reenforcements via heavy transport because if Ukranian AA/AF still exists enough to shoot down helicopters, there is no chance you are getting transports in. Supposedly ukranians covered the runway in tractors and broken heavy machinery and poo poo to make it unusable, but I've seen no pictures of it, so who knows if it is true or not. Ukranians start shelling stranded russian airborne forces in the airport Ukranian spetsnaz and other units move in

I’m not sure they mean to push eastern front hard yet. The play seems to be that Crimean and Kharkiv forces encircle Donbas frontline, since otherwise Russians are looking at frontal assault on 60 thousand soldiers manning anti-artillery fortifications they’ve built over the course of 8 years.
