I'm grabbing a few brewskis and some charcuterie for dinner tonight with my fiance. I'm walking along singing some Skynyrd to myself and this old lady comes up to me and starts cussing and yelling about how my mask makes her uncomfortable and that we don't have to wear them anymore. I respond with "Why does it make you uncomfortable, what do you think I'm going to do, rob the place? Steal your purse? Lady, I don't want your thirteen bucks and dollar store makeup, leave me alone." She then proceeded to get in my personal space, and that did it. I delivered a swift round kick to her breadbasket, then when she was doubled over in pain I went in and executed a flawless Stone Cold Stunner. She's out cold and yes, I did rifle through her purse and I took a few bucks just as an idiot tax. As I was leaving I caught the gaze of a masked-up security guard, who winked at me and I could see he had covered up the security camera with a bag of Kibbles N Bits. I felt pretty good about helping out my community that day and I looked good doing it. I don’t know what your point is but I’m with Hassan on this. I also have dated and am good friends with sex workers, and making this about what it usually is (a labor issue) over the sex part, is important with this conversations. I just find it interesting that access to that stuff does lower violence rates. of course there’s an argument that just means people are lovely because of entitlement to sex blah blah blah, but I think it’s a good reminder at the end of the day we’re just monkeys, and as a species really are ridiculous. this also makes me feel more compassionate towards some of the people who are anti-Covid poo poo. Our brains just weren’t quite ready to understand the severity of an issue like this, more or less.

i just cant “go back to normal” lol. ever. my worldview has been so irrevocably changed bc of covid. i will never see friends, family, colleagues, acquaintances etc. in the same light. i cant just go to a restaurant or a sports stadium or any other stupid american suck n gently caress and pretend a million americans didnt die for this stupid loving bullshit consumer lifestyle. like its not even a fear of covid near as much as it is the realization of how broken and rotten to the core this country (and capitalism) are. it would be at least Some Thing if we learned anything, but we learned absolutely loving nothing. im just so god drat mad all the time
