Before this war? I checked a couple sites and they list between about 0.12 and 0.14 for most of the past year.

Well, Finland sent RK-62 assault rifles and M72A5 LAW anti-tank weapons. Ancient stuff from the bottom of warehouse. Then again, Russia has been using a T-62 and other old crap so fits the theme.

Apparently, the Russians use the same vintage of equipment stored under similar conditions, so Germany ensures a fair fight here.

By the way, more airline news in case anyone is interested:

S7 (Siberian) Airlines, which is the second-largest Russian airline after Aeroflot, is ceasing all international flights.
https://www.reuters.com/business/aerospace-defense/russias-s7-airline-announces-it-is-ceasing-international-flights-2022-03-04/

Also, supposedly the CEO of Aeroflot has resigned, but this has not been officially confirmed.

Finnish military inventory, even the outdated stuff, is routinely kept in excellent shape due to Obvious Reasons. Even if it's old, it should be just as functional and deadly as it was on the day it rolled off the factory line.

As a historical touchstone, during WW2 the Red Army lost an average of 50k dead every single week for four years. Peer warfare is brutal.

Forces aren't on the same scale here, but I can believe 10k total casualties as being an optimistic but reasonable top end casualty estimate. If you just add up the crews of the vehicles claimed then you already get a decent chunk of the way there.

Seeing how much hardware is around in Ukraine it looks like no matter which way the war goes there will be need for VERY detailed border checks.

Former Chief of Intelligence of the General Staff, Major General evp. Pekka Toveri estimates that Ilta-Sanomat will send these assault rifles acquired elsewhere. According to a comrade, there are challenges in using them at home during peacetime, for example with lead bullets as ammunition.
TOVERI!(Finnish for Comrade) thinks they are those surplus guns. Got to handle those in the army, volunteered to clean those cause we were told we get handle Kalashnikovs. I was all giddy, gently caress yeah proper AK-47/AKM, and then we were handed those pieces of shits. The stock and handguard were plastic/bakelite and they rattled around, the cover also moved around, there was something strange with the sights like poor machining or something can't remember, but maybe I was just spoiled with RK-62.
Think they could be fixed up and is still better than nothing.

Invading under the assumption that it will be quickly over as the enemy will collapse for [reasons] and failing to plan for a longer conflict. The opposition leader remains in their capital to organize defense as enemy troops approach it. The invading force is hampered by disruptions to logistics and supply while defenders receive massive international aid. It's almost an elaborate hommage to Russian history.

If there was one thing that could prompt other nations into actually entering the fray, it is images of dead babies who were brutally murdered while fleeing during an agreed ceasefire. The picture of the dead Syrian kid on the beach in 2015 shifted global public opinion on the refugee crisis, at least for a little while. At the very least, there will be more governments demanding regime change or openly calling for Putin to be forcibly "removed".
