Did Metallica ever release a remixed St. Anger? Honestly I like the songs more now than I used to but the snare is just so loving bad.

I have the 4 members of Motley Crue's faces tattooed on me and even I say that they probably have like 2 albums of good songs altogether throughout their career

There's a lot of genuinely great glam/hair metal though.

Appetite For Destruction, Slave to the Grind, Too Fast For Love, Tooth and Nail, Out of the Cellar, Dr. Feelgood. All classic glam albums.

The John Corabi album was the best album they did.

And while we're on 'everyone else likes the wrong albums by this band', One Hot Minute was the high water mark for RHCP, and Led Zeppelin III is criminally underrated by way too many people.

Skid Row, Warrant, and (depending on location this varies but for my local one it’s) Quiet Riot are touring again in a few months. They’re playing the amphitheater here which I’ve never been to, but seems to perfect venue choice as it just reminds me of watching things like those Metallica tour VHS tapes in the 90s. Should be a blast.

Out of the blue I remembered this song, which is very good: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gdTdvOVAquc
"Slaves Beyond Death" by Black Breath.

Also, here's some excellent old-school doom: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DTp7hSCH5Cw
"Heavy Riders" by Crypt Sermon.

Also, this dumb thing never fails to cheer me up, mostly because the drummer is working so drat hard, and sounds like he is about to die or fall off his chair or something:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W4Pehs3xMmc
"Storming the Underground" by Vigilance.

I agree normally that some bands less popular albums are absolute bangers (I think Van Halen III kicks rear end personally) but I genuinely cannot see how anyone can view the Corabi album as good, let alone a good Motley Crue album.

Vince Neil sucks as a human being and he's sucked as a singer for a long time, but back in the day he had serious pipes that were just as important to the band as Nikki's songwriting. Motley Crue without Neil isn't like Sabbath where it was a decent album even if it isn't true "Sabbath" without Ozzy: Motley Crue often sucked with Neil, but ALWAYS sucked without him.
