The appropriate amount of time to sell for any move is 0 seconds, unless you're going to flop around in a funny way. If it's a finisher, you are allowed to sell for 3.1 seconds

I would rather it lean towards too little selling than too much selling, because not selling enough means there's exciting stuff happening instead, whereas selling too much leads to these long predictable late match sequences of, guy hits a move he's obviously not going to win with, two count, guy makes surprised NXT face, both lay there on the mat for way too long, repeat. Not arguing AEW matches all have perfect selling.

It will never happen but I’d do anything to see Jade Cargill and Bryan Danielson vs. Okada and Bianca Belair. Can you loving imagine? I got stoned and just let it play out in my head and it was a 7 star match, the crowd was unglued, Jim Ross yelled out “He beat John Cena with that move!!” in the same cadence as his “he beat Andre the Giant with that move!” call from Rock vs. Hogan at Mania 18 when Bryan hit thr knee on Okada. Excalibur was weeping and apologizing for not being able to call the match, and then Tony Schiavone said “Then let’s just listen to this crowd!”, the roar just kept growing with every sequence, I’ll let you decide who won. Man I wish, anyway I gotta stop eating these gas station edibles.
