I am loving the micro fighter line right now. I've mostly replicated the at-dp, tie fighter and xwing by just looking at instructions and substituting pieces as needed. I've burned through all my brackets, sadly.
Perfect for play for my 6 year old since he can put the minifigs in , the features are obvious for each ship, and when he blows up a ship into parts it's under 100 pieces scattered all over

As for organization I'm redoing the whole setup. I have 8 tackle boxes and a bunch of ziplock bags.

Right now it's one tackle box for 1x1 plates/tiles with all the assorted plate modifiers in their each bin. Then 1x2 plates that are tiles, wedges, jumpers, handlebar thing, etc. Another tackle box for various size tiles. Another one for 1x2 modified, and another for brackets

Then one box of translucents by color since that matters more than their size, and another box for minifigs with tools, weapons, misc hand, feet, etc.

And finally bags all with basic bricks of the same size , basic plates of same size.

Still tons of miscellaneous parts left over, I tossed all the vehicle ones (plane engines, wheels ,mud guards, steering wheels, windshield together.

Definitely have a way to go but it's working well

Gonna guess Obi-Wan's starfighter in particular will be pretty overpriced for the piece count, but otherwise all three of these sound cool. We haven't had an AT-TE in almost a decade, it looks like, and I love that design.

Yep. So instead of boxes 1 2 3 4 he had 1 1 3 4.

That’s where it gets really funny.

He found a rep that understood the issue and ordered him a replacement inner box.

They sent him another Box 1.

They got it right on the 2nd attempt.

So he got two extra box 1s? Did they insist any of it be sent back? Lol that's awesome if he got to keep them.

In my experience lego is pretty indifferent to sending stuff back to them. Once upon a time they sent me someone else's order so when I called up asking to fix it, they immediately shipped the items I wanted and we didn't discuss returning the incorrect stuff until I asked about it myself. They offered to mail me a shipping label and I declined, I said if they don't care I don't care.

He got to keep them. I’m not sure if they’re even equipped to take partial returns like they.

There are laws about this, to prevent scams where you are sent merchandise you didn't order and then someone tries to compel you to pay. Anything you are sent and did not order is legally a gift and they can't ask you to pay for it or even send it back.

Obviously Lego isn't trying to scam you but no reputable retailer wants to mess around with ever asking you to send back a "free gift". It's not worth it, they could get in trouble just for asking.

They could give you a prepaid label to ask for it back, and you could just say no, but they could also say "ok, but we won't do business with you anymore" and disable your account. But that would likely just get bad press for a one time cost that they will probably make up if you keep buying lego.

It might just be that Lego has an interest in providing good customer service where it can

Yet I know sadly there are serial haters who would relish that they sent extra/wrong pieces. "Another cock-up!!!!!" :xd::xd::xd:

So in two boxes you got the whole series? The chances of that happening randomly are pretty high. I might order a few more boxes and then bag feel to to find the right box and return the others.

I thought I did for a second but I got two Fozzies and zero Rowlfs. I already had Rowlf from a single I got at Barnes & Noble though.

Oops, I misread your post. I can deal with bag feeling for one fig at a store, or getting it on bricklink.

Anybody been to a Bricks and Minifigs store that'll let you trade? It'd be nice to trade a Fozzie for a Rolph, plus buying something from them to sweeten the pot. I'd be surprised if they let you do it for an older CMF series, but if it is still available and they might.

First time in my life caring about lego minifigures.

Tried to feel up the bags after reading a guide on what to look out for. Complete mystery to me, couldn't tell what anything was lol.

Got myself a Rowlf, ms Piggy an a pair of Statlers. I hope these stick around for a while, not too concerned with getting the full set but i want most of them.

Regarding returning free gifts, missent items etc. I work in customer service and generally the cost of shipping is greater than the margins on smaller items to the degree that when people call to return part orders we just refund them without asking for the part back.

Presumably this also applies to more expensive items too if the shipping is awkward/expensive enough as I have 2 identical wardrobes in my house because the first one i ordered from Ikea had a big dent in it and they just sent a second one no questions asked when i called them about it.
