Oh man that's so cool!! Great shot of that Frigatebird. And that finch is about to lecture you about the dangers of birds eating bread I can tell  I'd really love to bird in Ecuador myself. Someone I know went and loved it. But I hate using guides but I'd have to.

There is a hawk living in my back yard. Its call is extremely grating and annoying and definitely announces that it is the dominant bird around the hood but I also keep seeing it getting into pissing matches with crows that it doesn’t seem to be winning. Please advise

But stuff like Crows, Blue Jays, Kingbirds, Mockingbirds etc aren't scared of them and will drive them bananas. They will squawk at people who get near their nest. I remember it scared me as a kid when it would happen. I thought they were gonna claw me with those talons! Maybe they would.
