Motherfuckers will make fun of the snare sound on St. Anger but then drop $500 on first press vinyl copies of black metal demos with the exact same drum sound.

Yeah, but the drums are really fast and drowned out by guitar and bad production on black metal demos so it sounds like a riding mower and not someone accidentally closing a toilet lid too hard.

And the mercy seat is awaiting,
And I think my head is burning,
And in a way I'm yearning,
To be done with all this measuring of proof.
An eye for an eye
And a tooth for a tooth,
And anyway I told the truth,
And I'm not afraid to die.
Alongside Kate Bush they should get a crash course in all alt pop and alt-rock women artists that live on - Patti Smith, Tori Amos, Fiona Apple, PJ Harvey, Bjork, Liz Phair (Exile on Guy Street only), they might not even know Alanis.

Metallica's good albums are Kill em All where they steal a bunch of riffs from Diamond Head and Tank, and Ride the Lightning, where they wrote the best songs of their career in Creeping Death and For Whom the Bell Tolls.

don't forget The breeders, joan jett (not all the bad ones), sleater-kinney, gwen stefani (no doubt's "Hella Good" only), KD Lang (never heard any songs), and tammy wynette (ironically)

If we didn’t have nu metal we wouldn’t have the My Way package for Rock/Austin at WM17, which is still GOAT status, so actually nu metal has aged like a fine wine

D.N. Nation
Feb 1, 2012

the My Way package isn't as good as you remember it. Lotta repeating shots and a lot of it is about the "Austin mad at Rock for not....protecting Debra, or something" storyline that you've also forgotten.

The ending, though. WW(F)E was never better.
