I pre-ordered The Invisible Maniac and the secret titles (based on one of the VS employees “liking” a Facebook comment stating that the big budget sleaze pic would NOT be Caligula, some folks have guessed Showgirls - I’d be fine w/ either option), I’ll grab Homegrown Horrors Vol 2 and some Saturn’s Core stuff during the actual November sale (Sixteen Tongues at the very least, I forgot how loving awesome Shatter Dead was!)

What's the deal with the Event Horizon 4k? My copy from Amazon disappeared before it even left the UPS hub and they've been sold out since, Best Buy is sold out, all the usual indie shops I buy from are eternally out of stock. Is this gone forever or will it get a repress? I can live with the Blu but would like the 4k.

It’s the 20th anniversary next year for Oldboy and they’ve already announced a theatrical rerelease. I imagine we’ll get some cool 4K home releases as well.

FYI, Warner Archive's two October releases are Mark of the Vampire (1935, Tod Browning) and the '31 version of Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde starring Fredric March, directed by Rouben Mamoulian. Both under $20 on Amazon. Best of all, it's been confirmed they're 4K restorations off the original nitrate camera negatives! The '31 J&H was heavily edited for a reissue, so there's about 17 minutes that had to be taken from other nitrate elements. Both have the DVD commentaries, while a second track was recorded specially for the Blu of J&H. No November releases, but their December releases will be Attack of the 50 Foot Woman and Night of the Iguana, also restored from 4K scans of the original negatives.

Is it normal for Vinegar Syndrome to charge your card now for a pre-order that doesn't ship until like December? This is my first order from them and I guess most of the places I order from charge on the ship date.

I can't think of any time I've ever pre-ordered a thing and they didn't charge me until it shipped. So mostly like this is what VS does.
