Weird hostility aside, I'd really like to have folders and the ability to pin things to my home screen. The 3ds could do it, and I wish I could do it here too. I just like organizing stuff.

I like the group system because it lets me put Mario Kart in the Mario folder and the multiplayer folder or have a dedicated Mega Man folder but also put the games in the compilation game folder and the side scrolling action folder.

I don't think anyone's bashing the categorization or organization that Nintendo set up, but rather the inability to have the folders/groups right there on the main screen.

I wish they'd extract the perfectly functional Search for adding games to Groups, and just allow the user to search the game from Home or Lockscreen (i.e. search JACKBOX)

There literally already are folders!!!! You have to press three buttons to access them. Nintendo has kept the UI relatively sparse to improve loading times!!!! It would be cool if you could choose several player icons and have it randomly change every day or something. I have so many icons but I don’t change them often.
