I doubt CP-0 and the Straw hats will actually throw down beyond a couple of small and inconclusive clashes. More likely there'll be a 3rd party threat that forces them to team up/ignore each other for the time being

It wouldn't be very interesting if they did, like Luffy just took down one of the four emperors, so "guy with a pigeon" or "giraffe man" are not really a step up from there. I'm looking forward to more acknowledgement that the strawhats are now serious business.

It'd be nice to see Lucci think that Luffy beating him was some kind of fluke, start a rematch, and nearly immediately nope out of it I genuinely don't know how Lucci would currently think he stands any chance having indirectly witnessed Luffy defeating Kaido, though

I know it's his gimmick by now, but it'd be nice for Usopp to just merc some nerds in an arc for once without getting brutalised in the process. They have to start treating the Straw Hats as an Emperors crew. HE'S A BRAVE WARRIOR OF THE SEAS WITH A 500M BOUNTY DAMMIT

Basically, I can't see Luffy clowning on him without specifically activating Clown Mode. Lucci can probably do a decent job of handling everything except Gear 5 at this point, though Snakeman feels like the sort of thing that would push him to his absolute limits as Luffy's specialist 'martial artist killer' form.

I doubt Lucci can take Luffy in a straight fight but he’s certainly skilled enough to run away. After all his goal is to assassinate the Vegapunks, not defeat Luffy. I really hope we see an awakened Giraffe though

I’m kinda hoping that Kaku has doubled down on his Pasta Machine technique, learned how to control where his body extends, and starts to fight like Luffy, but with bones. He’ll lose, but I am really hoping something like that happens, and Kaku tells us that this is how giraffes survive in the wild.

It still took a LOT of physically impossible beating to take Kaido down after that, it's not like he only did it for the final hit. Gear 5th Luffy fighting Lucci is going to happen because it would be incredibly funny. Someone even MORE serious than Kaido, having to deal with the wacky cartoon man who is nonetheless kicking his rear end? C'mon, that'd be great.

I reckon as soon as they find out that the Strawhats are on the island that they'll focus on taking out Robin, considering how big of a threat she is to the government. They can't take out Luffy and probably couldn't beat Zoro/Sanji/Jinbei, but they might think that they collectively have a shot at killing Robin.
