You can read a summary of them here: https://www.reddit.com/r/ShaskaisWarhamBits/comments/yd66mi/lore_update_on_the_pariah_nexuswarzone_nephilimwd/ Sounds like we might be getting Girlyman vs the Silent King which I very much hope happens. One thing I have found is that a lot of lore updates get put out in parts of the tabletop stuff I don't pay much attention to. The redditor who wrote the above actually wrote it in his own personal subreddit where all he does is post summaries of recent lore that comes out in BL books, codexs, white dwarf, etc. It's a good place to check every once in a while to catch things you might otherwise miss. Definitely worth a subscribe.

Which probably means we will never get an answer and it will just be one of those lore mysteries going forward.

Pretty sure it was Valrak who started the whole "Angron killed Yarrick" thing now that I think about it. D-Pad posted:No, August was the release of the limited mega edition. There is still no hardback or paperback out, it's extremely rare that BL releases a limited edition and doesn't release a regular hardback (or sometimes paperback) within 2 months of the limited release. Based on Mike's tweet they still haven't even talked to him about any regular release and it isn't up on any of the coming soon stuff they have which is already into Spring. It's just weird. The only explanation I can think of is they want to coincide with an ork tabletop release. I'll admit I forgot that quibble. At which point I'm going to chalk it up to the book underperforming in sales, as I remember it was still available for a week or two after released. Remember Brooks promoting the fact that there were copies left at one point. I'm definitely wrong on this, but it felt like the one limited edition sale that didn't seem to instantly get sold out. I really can't come up with any major upcoming ork release, their codex has been out for three months now. Pretty sure the mega edition was the tie-in release for that. At most I can speculate that the fourth Ark of Omen book might be about Ghaz since its confirmed about to be about Xenos. But no way of telling right now. This weeks Black Library update is more details about Wrath of The Lost by Chris Forrester that got announced a couple of months back. https://www.warhammer-community.com/2022/12/14/what-horrors-await-the-flesh-tearers-on-their-home-planet-find-out-in-their-new-novel/

Hopefully it goes better for him than the Witcher where he ended up butting heads with the production over the source material. I would watch a show that was just Cavs sitting there chatting to the camera while he builds and paints miniatures though, tbh. too bad about the rest of that movie being absolute dog poo poo, especially the leads lol generally, ip spinoffs exist to reduce risk in creating shows, but the actual money gets made in the merch. it has almost certainly not escaped gw that they are in a really great position for merch, given that their main thing is sellin figurines in the first place. so i wouldn't be surprised if there were 5-10 figures from the thingy. if it really is eisenhorn, maybe his entire warband or both his and ravenor's warband (eisenhorn himself has a fig but not bequin, ravenor, nayl, either betancore, cherubael, etc etc). but the ip risk is really nontrivial, there's been no guarantee of quality in 40k spinoffs and no guarantee of audience from 40k nerds for a 40k show, some of the video games have been really dire wrt derisking and guaranteeing audience. bob dobbs is dead fucked around with this message at 10:32 on Dec 16, 2022 |

Zil posted:I'm hoping for Eisenhorn. They did previously announce a specific prod co to be developing an Eiesenhorn show a few years ago. Not with as much fanfare as here though. That could have died a death at development stage, although it was a company that had made Man in The High Castle for Amazon so they could still be involved. The licensing of the entire 40k IP seems like the bigger news here, that wasn't in the previous tv show announcement.

Didn't an Eisenhorn project get swallowed up by covid? I forget who was bankrolled it but the Man in the High Castle people were going to. E in charge of production. If Eisenhorn is free Cavill would do a good job with it. Any of the famous inquisitors, commissary, or guard leaders would work too. I agree that space marines should be used as an oh poo poo moment and not the lead. And if it all goes well he can finally play Valador.

Also, Cavill is doing a reboot of the Highlander? Sounds interesting. Best guess though is it's gonna be a Guard series, as a way to explain the different crazy bits involved. Either that or Inquisition to provide the vehicle by which they can explain different aliens and equipment.
