I say that even though I had to wait a bit for K2 to come out on PC. Kiwami 2 is a huge step up from Kiwami for sure, though.

So inevitably I'm gonna burn out and not play games again for awhile. But it'll be worth it. Kiwami 2 seems fun so far, just hit chapter 2 and trying to get all the substories and locker keys etc I can before moving on. The leveling and ability change is taking some getting used to, esp the food

this has been a Year of Yakuza for me, started 0 at the beginning of the year and have been hooked. surprised at myself that I haven't burned out although I did take a big break after 5 lol now on lost judgment which is ridiculously good so far

Majima's in Kiwami 2 a lot. He even gets a side-campaign that he's the protagonist in that gets unlocked chapter-by-chapter as you make progress in the main story

been working through lost judgment and probably the huge thing it does right is the combat. all of the styles are good, whereas tiger was so much obviously better than crane in the first game that I stopped using crane entirely once I'd done the completion metric for it. even just the speed boost upon dodging makes it way more fun this time haven't used boxer too much since it gets no SP bonuses due to being DLC but it also seems really good. might do a boxer only (or mostly) run once I unlock legend difficulty rgg games ftw

Boxer is fun too and there's a whole school story where you get to use a slightly altered version of it a lot. Lost Judgment is up there with the best brawler yakuzas imo

Nope Y0: perfect game, no notes, spent literally 3x as long on this game as the next 2 Kiwami: good as gently caress Kiwami 2: 2nd best story, tedious af Okay which one next before I start another franchise.
