Thing is I don't know what you do with Tom Holland. He turned up as Spider-Man and he was good for like, one and a half movies as this decent modernized take on the character, and then he's just been miscast to poo poo. And for all of how grating the MISTUH STARRRRRK jokes are the WHM boys have a point in that the later movies just seem to be about Peter's relationship to the dickhead alcoholic arms dealer. Where do you take the guy? Put him back on stage? E: Definitely don't do Young Bond.

Called in my first ever request this time. The world needs to know about Shakedown, a movie that somehow manages to live up to the promise of its insane trailer. https://youtu.be/gCL6SQ8XD8Q

I saw this for the first time recently kind of at random when I came across it at the library and it is a GREAT pick. Weller & Elliott are an amazing buddy duo and the ending is unreal. edit: lol Wikipedia posted:Shakedown (also known in international markets as Blue Jean Cop),

Really wanted to request Love Potion #9 -- a movie with a young and sizzling hot Sandra Bullock, a young and smoking hot Taste Donovan, a script with some cute moments and some laughs, and the most insane plot ever: "what if you could date rape anyone and everyone you ever wanted to? Wouldn't that be cool?" But it's not streaming anywhere, likely for that very reason. The 90s, man. Crazy stuff.

I think I'm going to call in 2022's The Most Dangerous Game, starring Bruce Dern, Tom Berenger, Judd Nelson, a bunch of people no one's heard of, and Casper Van Dien doing a German accent. Didn't know it existed until this morning, but it's amazing. Casper Van Dien is having the time of his life. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M7IZGq4XGQA

I was thinking of requesting the "There's No Place Like Springfield" two-parter from the original G.I. Joe series: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dabVaor2NlQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZB_VKM7Zpo It focuses on Shipwreck and has a lot of hosed up imagery with people just straight up melting into goo and I think they'd have a lot of fun with it.

They really capture the pure of watching shows aimed at little kids. None of it makes sense and it's all just bright colors flashing in front of you. Little kids don't care about story or plot so just mumble whatever bullshit about helping people and being yourself and they're happy for the 3 minutes they pay attention. The plea at the end of the show about not letting your kids watch that stuff felt really heartfelt and I was kinda bummed out that there are parents out there that would totally let their kids watch endless amounts of this drek

On one hand in recent years we have had a ton of even little kid animation that actually respects the viewer's intelligence and doesn't resort to this kind of brain dead storytelling. On the other hand, David Zaslav at WB Discovery and the people at Netflix are doing their best to bring this era to an end.

Called in Antz again. Admittedly mostly for the voice cast and the amounts of violence that would get it a pg-13 or R if it wasn't directed at animated insects.

Can't wait to listen to the Black Adam episode. It's a worse movie than Morbius, imo. That was at least bizarrely entertaining, this is....drywall. It's weird how little The Rock is on screen during the movie. He's present for maybe 25 minutes of the 125 minute runtime. Not that his character is particularly good, but this was supposed to be his big passion project. It was going to shift the balance of power in the DCEU (or whatever the line was), and it's something he supposedly shepherded over the finish line. And yet he's missing for huge chunks of it! Just so strange all around.
