It's not just a cool pose it has very specific plot relevance and evokes specific emotions in the viewer. So either they chose it without regard to the original just because it's a cool pose and it puts off them revealing the actor from the front, or they're doing the Arabasta Arc for the first season? We know the show will have Zoro, Sanji, Usopp, and Nami, and the Arabasta Arc is the first one with all of them as full crew members. So it makes sense in that level. But it also happens literally one hundred episodes into the show. I dunno, this is gonna be weird.
