Having the first WarioWare game on Switch is pretty loving good. I remember sinking so much time into the GBA version.

I think the classic one and wario ware twisted were my favorite ones. Touched was also good but it felt more simple/less replayable

And the other ones are just a blip to me. Special shout out to wario ware gold but yeah you're pretty much just playing the same mini games you've played before

I still haven't tried the Switch one, I'll have to get it at some point

get it together is designed for multiplayer and is best experienced that way but it's kinda funny that none of the versus mode type stuff can hold a candle to mega party games

The switch Wario Ware rules. The many playable characters make replaying micro-games a fresh experience.

It’s also mostly physics based compared to previous WarioWare entries.

Chained echoes was my next game but theaterythmn and fire emblem took priority then mh prime happened. I'll probably grab Metroid prime when I get paid next and CE sometime next month.

In general there's two issues with Switch updates being inefficient:
  • Any updated files are installed alongside the base version of that file, even though the updated version completely supersedes it.
  • Unity-engine games pack all their assets into a single resource file, so a slight change to a single asset can require an update to all the assets.
The combination of these two things means that there's a decent number of Switch games that are twice the size of, say, their Steam equivalents because they contain two copies of the Unity resources file, because somewhere along the way a single asset might've been updated. It's also annoying when later Switch physical releases that-contain-all-updates-at-the-time-of-printing end up with a giant update because of a small bug fix for the above reasons.

loving hell, I didn't know this; I'm especially shocked at how any update doesn't override the original data and just exists alongside it. That's bullshit.

I want to assume that steam is different, but is it?

Edit:

You..... you love everything Metroid and haven't played Prime?! :psyduck:

I'm a passable Metroid fan (I love SM, and.... that's it? Haven't played many others) and even I love Metroid Prime. It's wonderful.

I truly envy you going into what some consider to be the best game in the series, with fresh eyes. Savour it.

So I made a wishlist of my wishlist. I didn't go through Deku Deals, it's a good site, but I'm really trying to hard less of a presence online when I can help it. Besides it's more about keeping track of certain things, like what I get physical or what I get digitally, what I buy for portable play and what I get for my more limited but longer screen-time sessions.

From what everyone says I'm going to like FE: Engage. What I'm curious about is the button set-up. I'd imagine it's fully d-pad accessible with the right stick controlling the camera? Or do you need to use the left-stick? It doesn't matter, it's turn-based so it's not like your mashing things.

Once I finish Phoneotopia, I'll get Omori as my handheld game, then Octopath 2 as a physicsl trade-in, which I'll swap for Kirby, if Live a Live isn't able to be gotten physically, before maybe eventually getting Pokémon Snap (it and Kirby being screen games).

Screen games are otherwise going to be Tunic, Neon White, then Metroid Prime, maybe Anodyne 2 before Metroid.

Considering getting Prime, Advance Wars, FE: Engage, Zelda, and Pikmin 4 all digitally since I think I'll want to keep them and the latter two are pretty much drop-everything-on-release-to-play sort of games.

If I can get through some of these this year alone I'll be happy, but my goodness the system is stacked and this is just the tip of my Wishlist-iceberg. I'm obviously prioritizing a lot of new things but it's just crazy how many great things are being released.
