Very lovely cats. So instead of going to the Stardom Yokohama show next Sunday, (due to the bullshit way their ticketing site didn't want to take my money and let me buy tickets), I am instead going to the TJPW show up in Tokyo on that day instead. (Coz they let me buy the tickets easily, and I can pick them up at a Lawsons.) Which, apart from the hour train ride, is actually a bonus. Coz I know some of the TJPW wrestlers so will have familiar faces/names to barrack for. Also it means that I get to see some live wrestling on my short trip down to Tokyo/Yokohama. Yay for me.

Just finished watching TJPW Grand Princess. You should watch it. Yes you. This is a great jumping on point if you’re interested in TJPW. Billie Starkz did a concrete neck pogo. The French are at it again. Raku and Ram gave us the kind of storytelling sports entertainment Mondays wishes they could deliver. Unfiltered animal cruelty and esoteric Japanese puns. Everyone hit each other as hard as possible. 10/10.

No confirmation on partners yet: I believe Mei said something about bringing her “best partner” but who knows what that means (fairly certain that doesn’t mean Akki because Stardom haven’t done intergender outside the NJPW show with mixed tag rules for years at this point: and I also don’t think Akki really counts as High Speed). Did make me realise something: despite wrestling for a microindie that tops out in Shinkuku FACE I believe Mei has worked shows in almost every major Tokyo area building - worked Sumo Hall for Stardom and TJPW: this Yokohama Arena show, cornered Emi in the big Stardom Budokan Battle Royal, Ariake Colliseum last week for TJPW - exceptions are SSA where TJPW prioritise their own talent I assume and the Tokyo Dome.
