Taking bets on what this is.

What it's almost certainly not: aliens, warp drives, time travel.

The upsilon-iota threshold value of the top quark has long been believed to be 1.61 ± 0.04 femtocoulombs, but recent results from Fermilab and CERN show that it could be much higher, perhaps as high as high as 1.68 femtocoulombs! :aaaaa:

I can confidently tell you that that is a "whisk" type broom, and a very old-fashioned one. My Grandmother was a big fan of the whisk broom.

The actual bad part of being a cleaner on the Enterprise wouldn't be the job. The hours would be good and you actually would get to see all kinds of crazy and interesting stuff. The bad part would be the days where the ship switches from science/diplomacy to "oh poo poo everything is exploding we're definitely going to die". Called to battle; encountered a hostile alien; ran into some weird space magic; those are the days the job sucks. Vacuuming the floors? You have to do that if you stay home. Can't be any worse to do it in a space ship.

Actually, of all the respect I've lost for Russia, the brooms don't add to it for me, for some reason.

It's so sad how we've been poisoned by capitalism to think our lovely brooms are better than the classics. Those brooms are unironically so good and if you get the chance you should buy one from a traditional broommaker.

Now, being a janitor on Deep Space Nine, that's the bum draw. At least the Enterprise is full of people who are generally in agreement and are evidently fairly clean; even on its best days, Deep Space Nine is a bit of a dump.
