I think being able to do full respec is so cool because I’m having a hard time deciding whether to be a sorcerer, warlock, or paladin. Probably not warlock because Wyll is already there. But then you’ve also got weird awesome things like the Shadow Monk or Nurgle Druid.

Just imagine how hosed it would be to live in a d&d setting. No wonder that society doesn't advance past the middle ages - anyone at any time could turn into a bear or sell your soul to hell or transform your child into a dog.

yes. it's quite a good thing that we had to work to harness the power of electricity instead of being handed the keys and allowing it to stagnate at striking others. that same thing used to happen with the "gifted" childrens programs at public schools. many of them would feel that they had made it, and relax from there on, causing them to fall behind their peers just a few years later and have their lives fall apart.
