The new Batwing can stand vertically on its own. The wing tips and tail form a tripod that's pretty stable. Looks cool on the shelf.

Uncounted hours later, I am done. Overall, 3 inconsequential parts were missing, and some are left over. Most of it works very well, some bits are a bit finicky. It's a very fun build because it's mostly asymmetrical in the details despite the overall symmetry.

I'm darn stoked to see how the AC figs turn out. It really seems like the perfect neo-Fabuland theme. I'm rioting if there isn't a Scoot. It's pretty hilarious how tossing a bunch of special, loved, Animal Crossing characters behind a hypothetical CMF blind boxed set seems peak Nintendo & Lego. I consider myself lucky, nay, blessed that about 95% of new Lego releases leave me utterly uninterested  Just have to hope they don't keep releasing vintage-theme-inspired sets like the Galaxy Explorer, Eldorado et al. regularly, that would be my downfall. Right now I think the only leaked thing I'm very interested in is the Viking Village but if they start rereleasing 1 vintage inspired (castle, pirates, space, heck, I'd take Wild West and Adventurers since I mostly missed them, they came out as I was getting a bit old for "toys") set each month, I'll be there buying them all

For anyone who is excited about the AC sets: 1 - the AC amiibo were probably the worst selling amiibo ever 2 - the mario LEGO sets don't sell well either and are always on clearance after a few months So odds are, if you can wait you will be able to get all the AC sets for slashed prices pretty easily. If they do AC CMF, those you probably shouldn't wait on, though. Some of the mario ones have been harder to find than others, apparently.
