I kind of wonder what the exact point was where Yujiro became untouchable god-king in the series and it was fully committed to never ever showing him fail at anything ever again. Like even early on when they're setting him up as untouchable he still gets darted and locked in a cell for a while. Granted he gets out again but he wasn't in control of that situation and that just kind of doesn't happen again. By the time it's time for the big fight the whole series built up to at most Baki's allowed to make him bleed before he gets his rear end beat. Yujiro is no longer the antagonist but Itagaki's

It kinda sucks because whenever they introduce a new big badass character to be the guy to beat for an arc they obviously have to measure up against Yujiro to make an impact but they can't actually fight him because he's not allowed to lose. So Yujiro gets super excited to fight Pickle and seems genuinely impressed by him but then never fights for literally no reason, or he fights Musashi but has to be interrupted before one of them has to kill the other one. Or in the case of the fuckin sumo arc even he doesn't give a poo poo and just flattens the one dude stupid enough to fight him
