paracetamol, ibuprofen, and the other common otc pain medications absolutely should not be taken daily except under direct instruction of a doctor and a quick reading of the label on the back will confirm this. they all have risks and side effects that become more important with chronic use

Something like paracetamol/ibuprofen probably isn’t going to do any real harm if you’re taking them according to manufacturer’s instructions though (take ibuprofen with food!) E: with that said if you’re taking any pain relief daily for actual pain then the cause for the pain likely needs treating. If you’re not in pain then stop taking pain relief! Paracetamol and ibuprofen are regularly used to manage long term chronic pain, so the risk of using them (according to recommended doses) is fairly small (https://www.nhs.uk/medicines/paracetamol-for-adults/how-and-when-to-take-paracetamol-for-adults/). But of course the question is why do you have to take them.
