It's more like "higher understanding cloaked in lol monkey cheese"

Their dialogue options basically spoil the entire game the whole way through but you'd never know it if you'd never played the game before.

Yeah, Malkavians. I've never played as one, but I have to admire that they apparently rewrote almost every single line of dialogue just for this one class.

I'd say it's different because the player character explicitly knows the future. They just can't explain it in a way that makes any sense to you the player without you the player having future knowledge.
