Yeah, there's a sky island involved as well. The World Government doesn't have airships.

I wonder if they could get all the civilians up to the Labophase and like... detach the sky island from the land below somehow just float away. Possibly using Franky's cola propulsion system.

Keep on GOP rolling rolling rolling rolling.

I feel that Saturn does have ridiculous regeneration, but at the same time like, being hit is clearly doing him some damage and if the whole crew was beating on him without marines/Kizaru intercepting them, then he would go down fairly hard. Also if his power's like the paralysis are based off people feeling he is unstoppable... then him getting clocked and visibly shook from it breaks that aura.

It's his literal brain, as far as we know. He ate the Nomi Nomi no Mi allowing his brain to physically expand infinitely as he gains more knowledge. That's why he has such a gross giant head in all the flashbacks, and a cute/disturbing apple thing currently. He would not be able to move himself if he still had his current brain attached to his body.

It's always been a kind of confusing complication to his escape plan.

Before the buster call was done, Saturn did say one of his top objectives was to keep his brain intact. But presumably that was because Gluttony was going to be kept with them and could still use it. W/o them, who knows!

What's going on with Kizaru is actually very simple. He's just multitasking being lazy by half-assing his change of heart and his duties as an Admiral.

Edit: Wait, no, I was thinking of the wrong guy.

I'm assuming he still has some part of his brain in his head that'd allow him to leave if the worst were to happen, he'd just lose access to all of his accumulated stuff in Punk Brain is the main problem but as long as it isn't outright destroyed he could return one day.

I think the buster call really changed the trajectory of this arc. So far the goal has been to grab Vegapunk and all the homies and get to the Sunny and make a clean getaway but IMO the buster call takes that option off the table. We've been shown time and again that this is an island full of people and I just don't see the strawhats escaping while the island is obliterated, least of all Robin. They're going to, at the very least, stop the buster call - considering that some of Blackbeard's crew is around the rest is up in the air as to whether Luffy convincingly defeats Kizaru + Saturn or if they get interrupted.

The Strawhat crew not only surviving a Buster Call(again) but actually beating it back and securing the island as well as a Gorosei being taken down would be quite the incident that would shake the world like the prelude to the battle said it would.

All the science/gadget-powered Straw Hats except Nami are all way overdue an upgrade, right? Have Franky, Usopp, or Chopper had anything since the timeskip? I guess Usopp had those 10 seconds of Observation Haki during Dressrosa

Chopper had gotten his super monster point form revealed in Wano (that's why he turned into a baby for a bit) and Franky's been pulling new stuff out with his robot mechas here and there. Usopp has unfortunately been mostly ignored since the end of Dressrosa, which has been a travesty.l, though assuming we go to Elbaf next, he will get a lot of character progression there (and maybe some upgrades)

Bit of a stretch to call that an upgrade, all they did was have CC extend the monster timer for a few more minutes, the form stayed the same as it always had.

so all the humans were frozen by Saturn, but not the one “machine”? Does this mean that turning the new pacifistas (forgot the child soldiers names) is the key to taking down the old men?

Egghead would end perfectly with Usopp asking Saturn if he is forgetting something, then turning to shoot the bug light saber into the middle of the island right as the buster call is about to reign down.

What on earth are you talking about, the Straw Hats were frozen, not anyone else in the room. There were a ton of marines around who were not frozen. Kuma wasn't frozen because he just arrived and surprised Saturn.

Also, Kuma isn't a robot, he's a cyborg.

I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if the Strawhats were strong enough at this point to actually stop a Buster Call before it can do much damage. If not, I assume now it’s time to escape and head for Elbaf.

Curious how they’re going to inevitably get around Saturn’s regeneration ability

Luffy and Lucci took out two of the ten battleships just as collateral damage while they were fighting. Although iirc theres a HUNDRED battleships around Egghead now, so its not really comparable to Eneis Lobby

e: This also means theres 100000 Marines present which is an equivalent number to Marineford, lol. Saturn demands a large escort.

I agree, the One Piece is actually a piece of music that Brook needs to play for the world.

How many ships do the marines even have? Assuming the Straw Hats have to destroy the ships to stop the Buster Call and can't talk Saturn down or cut a deal, that seems like it would be a massive blow to the marines as an org. Even more so if Garp ends up out of commission.
