Speaking of Krasznahorkai Seiobo continues to completely own. He's already been one of my more favourite authors just on the back of reading melancholy and satantango but seiobo is surprising me in ways I didn't quite expect from him. His style takes on a very musical quality here, where each scene is like a movement in the way it lays its themes and motifs and continually builds and layers the tension, tempo driving the piece hurtling inexorably toward a supreme and exhilarating release. I am quite enthralled
