If Saturn hadn't shown up that is a decisive win for the Straw Hats, they had Sanji and Franky still up and near the action while Kizaru was KOed himself. And the only reason the rest of the crew is mostly waiting around is that they were all in a central location after their previous victories, then a guy who can move at lightspeed showed up and Luffy started fighting him. Right now they seem to be back on the offensive in a big way, Kizaru is down again, Bonney has control of the Pacifistas, Kuma is here, Luffy is up, Jimbei is herding Zoro, etc. Also Dorry and Broggy aren't rescuing a Yonkou's crew, they are the Yonkou's crew. If they haven't joined the New Giant Warrior Pirates already then they are almost certainly allying the Giant Warrior Pirates Classic to the Straw Hat Fleet. Even Whitebeard needed to call his extended fleet to to assault Marineford, I don't think it's out of line for a single allied crew to show up when there is an admiral, an elite assassin group, an elder star and a 1000 ship buster call to deal with.

Dorry and Broggy are needed because none of the Strawhats are big enough to gently hold Kuma in their hands as they walk away. I mean, maybe Chopper could go Monster point, but several people do need some medical care on the way back to the Sunny.

Once we got to the katakuri fight most people saw the light but there were a few holdouts.

I genuinely love that Roger and Whitebeard were both famed for never fleeing from a fight, but Whitebeard would go into fights with an active strategy laid out and plans in place to ensure his victory, while apparently Roger's strategy was to just run headfirst into things and hit them

Zoro mid-diffed lucci like 4 chapters ago and has spent the remaining time being absolutely lost. Jimbei will find the defeated lucci before zoro, and lucci will just be regaining consciousness and stamina just in time for either a round 3 where he loses to jimbei, or for saturn to put him into a sacrificial position where he has to make the choice to betray him. They set up many chapters ago that Saturn emphasized that cp-0 were disposable and that needs to be delivered on.
