Yeah in general if the gound item tiner is up that item is now yours. Sometimes Ironmen do weird things so if you're feeling nice check to see if they are one.

People do that because it's faster exp to just keep going instead of banking the stuff, albeit at the cost of being able to make money off it later or use it for another skill. It's very common with mining, fishing, woodcutting, and most combat skilling.

I assumed it was fine, then some guy got super bent out of shape because he saw me picking up raw meat when everyone way mass killing cows. Followed me around until I changed world, same thing happened when i was grabbing feathers. I assumed I had made some runescape faux pas.

The more someone gets mad at you in OSRS, the less reasons you should have to believe you actually messed up (except raids)

I've never heard of this happening before in my life. When something is on the ground that means the player who dropped it there didn't bother picking it up for 60(?) seconds, so they clearly don't give a poo poo about it lol

I've had plenty of people get mad at me for picking their poo poo on the floor, especially when they do slayer. Maybe don't play 5 accounts at the same time or watch youtube and not the runescape instance you got open :v:

Brighter Shores is a new game from the Gower brothers that created RuneScape, planned to launch in Q3 of this year.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ASIbNq_pLQQ

Keen eyes will notice that this appears to be exceptionally similar to RuneScape in its presentation from the limited screenshots and gameplay that's been shown so far. I'm thinking about wrapping the game into this thread as a RuneScape-like MMO unless someone wants to spin up a thread when it launches / if it's good.

For anyone that's on the forums but not in our discord, we've got a channel in the GoonScape Discord that we're using as a waiting room for news / shitposting about Brighter Shores and the other lesser-known and comically terrible RuneScape-like, GenFanAd.

Hello, yes! Is being very good day for posting, no?
It's pretty remarkable the way rabbit holes of tasks spin up out of nowhere.

When Varlamore came out, I saw Moons of Peril as a midgame boss thing and decided that, being in possession of a Dragon Scimitar and therefore an Official Midgame Player, I would make getting those sets my Goal. Well, I'd been neglecting Slayer, so I had to do that to do Perilous Moons, but that wasn't too bad. Surely, the rest will be easy!

Well, I got my rear end kicked by Blue Moon a bunch. Clearly, the problem is my food--my hunter level is too low, it's making my lizards terrible! Time to go and grind Hunter. And do Eagle's Peak as long as I'm in the area, it'll be nice to catch Chinchompas. Alright, go in, scrape through Blue Moon by the skin of my teeth, beat Eclipse in one go, get stomped by Blood Moon (gently caress Blood Moon).

Okay, time to improve gear, then. Grind to get into the Warrior's Guild, grind in the Warrior's guild, get my Dragon Defender. Oh, I need more defense levels--alright, fine. Grind that, buy a Dragon Chainmail while I'm at it. Die to Blood Moon. Die to Blood Moon. Die to Blood Moon. gently caress Blood Moon. Buy a super combat potion. Beat Blood Moon. Get a piece of Eclipse Armor! Quest complete! Combat Achievement for beating them all with a Dragon Scimitar! Oh, that's why Blue Moon was so hard. Buy a Rune Mace. Clear again--get an Atlatl! Try again. Die to Blood Moon. Die to Blood Moon. Die to Blood Moon (gently caress Blood Moon).

Okay, this isn't consistent enough. I need More Power, and less Getting Hit. Grind Defense. Do King's Ransom. Do some RFD. Read the wiki--oh, so that's what Moonlight Potions do. Grind some Herblore. Run out of money. Check the wiki. Do Chompy Bird Hunting, and some more RFD. Fletch some ogre arrows from scratch. Make money. Fletch ogre arrows from shafts because I didn't check prices and thought that was still profitable. Lose money. Check the wiki for another moneymaker. Make Pineapple Pizzas. Make more pizzas. More pizzas. Look at price of Tuna Potatoes on wiki. Look at level requirement for Tuna Potatoes. Buy 4000 swordfish. Cook 4000 swordfish while raising my hellkitten. Sell swordfish.

Fight Blood Moon. Beat Blood Moon. Go for another run, now with potions. Beat Blue Moon. Beat Eclipse. Die to Blood Moon. Die to Blood Moon (gently caress Blood Moon). I need More Power. Barrows gear would be pretty good. And there's a bunch of prayer XP for doing it once! Slowly beat Barrows Brother to death with Dragon Scimitar over multiple trips. Miniquest complete! Buy a Torag's Chestplate. Remember my Defense isn't 70 yet. The crab caves are a long run, and Crabclaw Island is expensive. Ah, but the medium diary makes it free! Look at requirements: 45 farming. gently caress. Look up quests that give farming XP. Do quests. Get to Tithe Farm. Do tithe farm. Farm grapes. Hit 45 Farming! Go to the guild, get Blessing 2, kill a bunch of crabs. Reach 70 defense, a new height of power. See that Blood Moon got nerfed.

Die to Blood Moon.

(gently caress Blood Moon.)
