I also love all of the stories of Steve experiencing an alternate Lynchian nightmare New York (punishment for being from New Jersey). The old lady eating fish in the theater, “you better run fat boy”, and my personal favorite, the lady who was throwing negative energy at Steve (for long enough to reload) on the subway.

Steve is actually from the Bronx. As told in his story about ripping his pants coming home and throwing them down the incinerator chute to dispose of the evidence.

The Notting Hill episode brings back a couple of other favorites: Steve's (and the rest of the guys' now) hatred of doorknob placement on front doors in England and Eric's belief that you can put anything in British pudding. :allears:

Porkins returning as a force ghost to guide the kids (to the better food options) in The Wizard.

Cabin's "Throbber" comment in It's A Wonderful Life being met with disgust, but by the end of the episode everyone's been using it constantly.

The gag during a recent Mailbag episode where the guy was desperate to see The Hunger Games and this really impressing Jennifer Lawrence.

Holly Hunter: Dixiecrat Piss Ghost from Batman v Superman.

Yeah I didn’t quite get it (tho I’ve only seen the first season of Loki so it really is not that big of a deal). Also Steve’s comment at the end didn’t really make any sense since this entire premise of the movie is absolutely Deadpool’s sort of thing. The character does all sorts of weird stuff. He’s murdered the Marvel Comics Universe twice now.

More gags/bits/moments I remember and love:

In Sidekicks, rather than seeing Chuck Norris hallucinations, Eric sees character actor Gerrit Graham. "Don't call him a nobody!"

Learning the hard way what happens when you party with Jack Mack from Tuff Turf.

Can't remember the specific episode, but after an accident at an old apartment, Andrew reveals that his landlord/building manager was Jared Kushner.

On a Melro210 episode (I think), Andrew and Steve tell the story of the world's biggest Tootsie Pop during their college days.

Eric fighting to get Masterminds the respect he thinks it deserves.

Chris telling the story of what happened the moment he passed his driving test.

Patrick Stewart and the cast of TNG hypothetically attending the premiere of Samurai Cop.

Steve having a speech from The Devil's Advocate downloaded to his mp3 player and Andrew being disgusted by this fact.

"I just like the idea of Shrek reading a newspaper" - Ben Worcester, Puss in Boots episode.

A mailbag reader sending a story in about someone who would leave turds in closed books at the bookstore they worked at, with Eric screaming about how it was a reign of terror by the Joker.

Years and years and years of laughs. I started listening to them at the Batman v Superman episode because I was the only one at my office who hated that movie, and needed validation/seething time because all the comic book sycophants I worked with thought it was the best movie since the last comic book movie.

I find myself more and more offside with their takes on current movies. Its really getting 'old man yells at clouds' and it has made their On-screens kind of hard to listen to. They constantly bitch about lovely movies being the only thing that makes money in the theaters....but they themselves keep going to the theaters to see them (and probably sit in the front row, which is jus WILD to me). Yeah, i get it, "they have a movie podcast!", but i'm here for their tangents and riffs on older movies or truly bad movies they choose to watch because they have a soft spot for them or because they hate them (and of course listener request month, which usually ends up being pretty rad). I kind of feel like their opinions are getting more "Online" as hell or just complain to complain. And then they say that the Monarch TV show is good, and that show is TERRIBLE, even for a cheesy show based in a monster universe (that barely shows any monsters).

ah well, at least the weekly show is still pretty good, but it did make me drop Patreon support.

lovely movie chatter gets engagement unfortunately and they're comedians so riffing on 20 different ways to say something looks bland is probably easier and gets more views than a long discussion on the merits of one of the Oscar contender movies. they'll never not watch a Marvel thing also because they're just a bunch of nerds either way and Star Wars is even worse off than Marvel (arguably even worse since Star Wars has never been good) and they'll always tune in for the next gleep glorp show that is feasting on the dry bones of the original trilogy.
