He fetishes violent revolution, but he doesn't actually want society to improve and his social norms are right out of the 1950's. Rall's main concern is and always has been Rall. His principal motivation for supporting or opposing any given position seems to be whether or not it will allow him to portray himself as a critical, independent thinker who doesn't just go along with the consensus. That said, I don't think he's among the worst cartoonists in this thread. He's one of the very few that actually seem to have gotten less lazy over time, which I will give him credit for.

Okay, I wouldn't say his art has improved much, but he seems to be putting in at least the same amount of effort as he did ten or twenty years ago. In a thread with people like NEMO, Ed Gamble, and all-time least talented cartoonist Kirschen, I can't say he's the worst.

I still remember how one of the dystopian elements in his 1984 ripoff 2024 was how it was super easy for women to win sexual harassment ("sex-har") suits and that the penalty for men was basically death. So as a result, his Winston character was unable to openly express any kind of attraction for a woman lest he be destroyed. That is definitely not a suspicious thing for a man to worry about at all.

Rowe: Australian politician ‘sold out’ to foreign regime after being recruited by spies, ASIO boss says (Guardian). "Mike Burgess outlines activities of spy network dubbed ‘the A-team’ in annual threat assessment, without naming former politician nor the country involved". Everyone's having a fun guessing game trying to suss out who it is. Pope: Joe Hockey, former treasurer and ambassador to the US, is demanding Burgess reveal who the politician is. Leak, Son of Leak: Advance Australia is the conservative right's response to GetUp!, a progressive campaign group that has been active for a while. Advance has its biggest success in the Voice referendum and its now active in the Durkley by-election which will be held Saturday, helping drag the tenor of Aussie politics to be more in line with the US. Albanese will be hoping for a win in the Dunkley by-election. But Advance is back as audacious as ever, fighting with fear and 'Trumpy' tropes (ABC Analysis).

Amjad Rasmi Carlos Latuff The message posted with this was "Once again, #Japan's TEPCO is discharging more radioactive water from #Fukushima power plant." The key word missing from that statement is "treated" - the water is being released after meeting government standards for radioactivity. China is officially upset about this, which is why Latuff is drawing a cartoon about it for one of their propaganda outlets. (There is, of course, a reasonable discussion to be had about whether the Japanese government's standards for radioactivity are good enough, but they are releasing this stuff directly into their own waters, so they probably believe they're doing enough.) Darrin Bell Dave Whamond David M. Hitch Drew Sheneman Ed Gamble An aspirational cartoon. Rall: The Anti-Trump #Resistance Is Burned OutTed Rall posted:Anti-Trump #Resistance members say they’re demoralized by their long fight against MAGA Republicans. Considering what members of actual Resistance fighters had to go through–executions, torture, reprisals against their family members, poverty, being sent to death camps–the minor annoyances these snowflakes report after doing basically nothing since 2016 (unless you count attending one or two rallies) don’t even begin to pale in significance. The least they could do is to stop insulting the memories of actual Resistance fighters by comparing their lame selves to real heroes.

China declined to join the IAEA taskforce when offered, and the released water has been diluted to the point that it is less radioactive then the natural background levels in some places. The goal is to smear Japan, alarmism about scary sounding headlines is just the means.
