Real question is how far theyll go imitating zaz pacing and structure. imdb's listed writers seem to mostly come from random disney movies and crazy ex girlfriend. Or its seth mcfarlane. snipe edit: one of my fave airplane! jokes is "I've never been so scared, but at least I have a husband" Or, the entire kareem abdul jabar concept.

The problem isn't casting Liam, it's Seth producing Can they recapture the "magic" of their previous collab, A Million Ways to Die in the West lol

The main credited writer wrote 50 something episodes of how I met your mother, a show that really was the Millenial's response to police squad if you think about it.

That was my entire exercise on imdb, searching if anyone from angie tribeca was involved. answer is no, which is dumb.

Been checking out Adam Curtis's new show The Way. One episode down, pretty good. It's a mix of kitchen sink drama and a political piece about miner's strike in Wales, but there are strange magical realist touches that I like, and I gather it has a bit more scope than that premise coupled with a three episode run would imply. Socialist, probably CSPAM-y, but has a hero cop character because the Brits just can't help themselves. So it's not perfect -- yous are better educated about this stuff than me so you can probably make more dents in i than I can begin to -- but it's drat better than most IMO. Would be keen to see some goon thoughts.

In naked gun or police squad there woulda been 10 jokes in a clip that length instead of 2 Civilisation has fallen

I'm watching the Wire for the first time ever. I've always heard it as a very neoliberal take on the War on Drugs. I can see how. The chess metaphor between D'Angelo and Bodie and Wallace feels like some after school special poo poo.

It is a "very neo liberal" take on it however I would say, for the time period it was made in, it is at least WAY more honest about the failings of neo liberal economics and how it perpetuates the illegal drug trade rather than "fixing" the problem.

I thought about it some more and I think the reason I'm ok with a Naked Gun reboot in particular is because Naked Gun is more of a genre than an IP really Like, they're probably not gonna use the same plots or characters right

I can't wait for Liam Neeson to do his "I have a special set of skills" bit while he's folding origami or basket weaving or whatever
