Caroline Lucas was recently interviewed by Alastair Campbell and he brought up how when Corbyn became leader she was really supportive of him and pretty much agreed with him on everything. She concurred but apparently made it plain that she didn't anymore. Why would Lucas feel the need to distance herself from Corbyn?

There was also the domestic terrorist who rented a van, drove from Wales, and arrived too late for Corbyn so ran over an old bloke leaving mosque. That one stuck in the memory cause all his neighbours said he was an obvious wrongun and had no idea why he hadn't been arrested

In August 2015, Lucas endorsed Jeremy Corbyn's campaign in the Labour Party leadership election. She wrote in The Independent: "I've never felt so optimistic about a potential leader of the Labour Party. For the first time in my memory, the party of Keir Hardie and Clement Attlee looks likely to be led again by someone who dares to stand up for the radical changes demanded by the challenges we face."[61] And like I say , in the interview just the other day she reiterated that support.

The Corbyn gun target video also demonstrated what terrible shots those servicemen were. Most of the rounds missed the target entirely.

You might think that means they're terrible shots, but actually they're very good at it when the target is lying/kneeling on the floor in front of them, handcuffed and blindfolded.

Another example of how the media refused to give Corbyn/Labour a fair hearing, but in a different way to just outright lying or suddenly pretending that going to a post-Cenotaph lunch is the sign of a true statesman, was just treating all their policies like they were naive, impossible fantasy and never wavering from that. Like the plan to plant two billion trees in 20 years, where they did the maths and found that meant 200 trees planted per minute. "How are you going to plant 200 trees every minute for 20 years JEREMY???? It's ludicrous!! Not Common Sense!!!" When in fact large organised plantings can easily plant hundreds of millions of seeds every day (tens of thousands per minute) and other projects around the world aim for billions of trees every year. It's a policy dominated by large numbers that ordinary people don't have any experience with, either in general or in the specific field of tree planting. So it's easy for the tabloids to make it seem ludicrous, and they had no interest in remotely doing anything different.

Even as simple as "if you employ two thousand people that's one every ten minutes" How do you do anything in large volumes? Just not possible. A fairly large factory's worth of labour. Impossible for the UK to achieve.

Allowing people to own two billion though, that's just common sense.

As much as Stephen Fry went a bit melty. Him telling grammar and proninciation particularists to gently caress off, because language is designed to evolve and change, was quite enjoyable. I used to be super anal about pronunciation, then I moved to multiple foreign countries and learnt 3 additional languages. It became so apparent what a waste of time it was and how much of a prick you sound trying to correct people, even with the best of intent. Yeah, hearing Yorkshire people pronounce Estrella makes my autism brain misfire but so loving what. I just adjust how I say things depending on who I'm speaking to and gently caress the haters if I say Barcelona like a South American, like a Valencian or like an Italian. Just ask anyone to say Worcestershire Sauce. Then try and say "I åa ä e ö å i öa ä e å" in Swedish or ask how many buffalo in American English.
