That part seems to cinch that it's some kinda sex thing. Play out some kind of lock-up fetish without having to worry about bathroom breaks that also lets the lockee have access to fresh water.

We paid Savannah to drink a full milkshake, with ice cream on top and locked her inside afterwards.

She's very lactose intolerant.

Let's gather around and watch.

"As long as you promise the ladder stays there at all times blocking half the landing to your staircase."

"Pinky swear promise!"

(Much later):

"Honey, it's time to take real estate photos, go get the ladder from out in the tool shed so we don't get in trouble!"

It could be that it unlocks from the outside. Lots of bathrooms have that. A simple knob lock on the inside, but with key access outside for emergencies.

Each one feels like a different flavour of psychotic serial killer's prisoner. Come for "All women are whores" in the side-room, stay for "My mother never loved me and you look like her" in the second bedroom, and don't forget to check out "She was nice and polite and I took it as genuine interest" in the attic.

Guess how many dead sex workers are buried on the property, the answer may surprise you!!

It's Southern Ontario. Real estate is inSANE here. That's not bad at all, even for a plot an hour away from Ottawa. Figure in all that potentially reusable wood (lol) and it's practically a steal!

I mean it’s basically just a wood crib. Perfectly normal usage.

What’s more unhinged is that the realtor climbed up onto the loving rafters of a barn listing at that angle to take pictures of the early 1900’s literal trash stored up there.

At least it’s only $146k USD when converted. A bargain!!

The barn's fine, just straighten it out.

The only thing about that listing I find weird is the chimney placement and the lack of a hedge - but maybe hedges aren't a thing whereverthefuck that is.

The listing says:

I know many houses have a crawl space instead of a full attic, and have a little access hatch like that you typically use a ladder to get up into. Usually it's got a piece of drywall sitting on top or a little lid or something blocking the actual hole unless you need in there, and often located in a closet or something. Maybe it's just that but a neat way to get up there, and possibly "semi-finished".

Typically it's just for insulation, ductwork, and running cables for TV and stuff, but some people throw some plywood on top of the 2x4's up there and use it for a tiny, cramped storage area. However with that house, it might be something way cooler.

lol @ the idea of flooring attics in prairie climates. I have 3 literal feet of blown insulation in my attic because it gets so cold here for 6 months of the year. There’s no earthly way to contain that and also place boards over top hahaha

I'm in Edmonton. It gets down to -40 C for a few weeks most years. Otherwise we're between -20 and -35 for a big chunk of the winter.

From the floorplan, it's not actually as tiny as it looks from the outside, maybe not a family home, but fine for one or two people.

But it's actually completely insane

Buildings from before central heating, that couldn't be updated (no space, in this one), have fancy space-heaters so you can pretend you aren't freezing solid at night.

(I'm a HUGE fan of central heating, obviously.)

I found it :

(There might be one in the corner of the bathroom off the kitchen, jusut to the left of the door, but it would have to be absolutely tiny to fit)

Also I do not understand where the bedroom floor is, there just isn't room
