I remember hearing about this game and seeing it in a few bargain bins. Isn't it basically a mix of what Freedom Fighters was and what Wolfenstein the New Order would become?

I've never played this, but I've watched the whole first level and a bit of the second on an online walkthrough (back when LPing wasn't really popular and people just played the games without commentary so people could see it). From what I've heard, the first level tries to write a check the rest of the game can't cash.

Its funny to me how The Old Blood takes place in the 40s, this takes place in 1953, and the New Order is in the 60s. Its a pretty heated debate on whether this game is worse than bargain bin stuff though, especially considering the multiplayer doesn't exist anymore (and was pretty bad to begin with according to reviews). Turning Point - Wait, this isn't Wolfenstein: The New Order? About the Game Turning Point: Fall of Liberty. You were supposed to laugh right there. Why? Well... this game is like a bad joke; you take the time to listen and only realise the horror about half-way through, at the latest, that its terrible. This game, to take a page out of Red Letter Cinema, is the biggest disappointment "But Kobbo" you exclaim, "Why is it so bad?" For starters, this game takes an interesting premise and then immediately pantses itself on live tv. It asks the question "What if this important person died unexpectedly, and how would it affect the "original" timeline?" It stops there, adds some bullshit future/sci-fi stuff and calls it a day. Literally. And I'm a little ticked off by it, to be honest. The more I think about this game, and its 60$ retail price (Now going for a cool $1.50 USD), the more I can't help but shake the feeling that the developer/publisher were jerks about this. So what exactly IS Turning Point: Fall of Liberty? It's a game set in 1953 that supposes that Winston Churchill, drunk politician extraordinaire, dies in a car crash in the 30's, specifically 1931. This, in turn, causes the Germans to win World War 2. Why? Who knows, who cares? http://www.alternatehistory.com/forum/ All of this leads to the United States of America not joining the war, the Germans conquer Europe (No mention of the Japanese, or Asia at large, is made) and then, because of reasons, the Germans Pearl Harbor New York! The Fiends! You play as DAN CARSON... Laborer? Construction Worker? Supervisor? Man? Yeah, we'll just go with Man. And, as DAN CARSON, you have to fight for your life against the invaders. In an amazing display of foresight, being very similar to the latest Wolfenstein games, what with the future/scifi themes and tech and the alternate universe. However, TP:FoL also displays an amazing lack of polish and finesse. Don't believe me? Here, watch the English trailer for the game https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DFyWL3XAtNI Watched it? Good. That's all footage from the very first level. Of course, nothing was around to warn you of this in the good ole days of 2008. So, join Chaos Argate and I on this wild ride of mild editing, bad gameplay, and comparisons to better, more successful games! About the LP I would prefer if nobody spoiled this game, period. Its got some great twists and the destinations we'll be visiting are thrilling and breahttaking. There won't be a "cut" version, because this game's dialogue sucks, none of the characters are interesting, and because it would mean I cared more about this game than the developers. There are some mild edits, but this LP will mostly be straight gameplay with no funny business. Mostly.

A dude once did an LP of Spark's other game Legendary. He had an interview with a tester as part of his LP. Some highlights: -Spark's games are heavily linear. There is a Path, thou shalt not stray from the Path. -Your allies do no damage. Literally. -While the company has dedicated and talented individuals, for the most part they're focused on budget shooters. Most of their games are bare-bones, real-is-brown FPSs featuring Nazis. -As much as I loving hate regenerating health and BLOODY SCREEN SO REAL, Legendary's HP mechanics were much worse. Oh hey, this game actually exists. That 1/2 down out of the mid 00's crappy shooters that I'm not sure aren't false memories. You've played about up to the point where I quit, I'm curious to see where it'll end up. The other game that I haven't been able to track down was a modern war thing with it's main gimmick being that there was two main characters, one with a sniper rifle and one with a light machine gun. Like TP, I only played the first level of it and can recall nothing else about it.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ozhEw4WMHaA Kurfurstendamm, where the French sign their surrender to the Germans; Great Britain is occupied. After the dramatic French defeat in June, the British capitulation marks the end of Axis conquests in occidental Europe. In the month of September, a series of attacks against the RAF's airfields literally destroys their fighting capability. The Luftwaffe's domination is thus uncontested and soon the British are forced to surrender. Over the course of Operation Sealion, the Wehrmacht faced a demoralized enemy, due in part to the defeat at Dunkerque and the constant air raids by German aircraft. Within 48 hours, the Germans have reached, and occupied, London. Nothing seems capable of stopping the Axis forces moving westward.
