if they had gone the speed they were going near the end there but from the start and cut out about 10 minutes from the match it woudlve ruled. instead it was just fine

I was really worried it would go 30+ minutes given how the first 5 had only been a combined 2 hours, but I am glad it did not. Naito is double champion, LIJ are friends, we get the rollcall and the Naitailures are wrapped up. All is good in the world

What was THAT about? njpw's modus operandi for whatever reason, is whenever they crown a champion for the first time, their first run is usually a short one with maaaaaaybe 1 or 2 defenses, chalked up to the inexperience of the wrestler. it's happened with okada, with naito, with jay white, with AJ Styles, and EVIL. the only one who got a lengthy first run was kenny omega, who was originally going to hold it until G1 Supercard before he left NJPW.
