The dungeon thing looks like it could be silly trash, and I hope Ninja Slayer is a balls to the wall awesome shitfest. My thread for My Little Husband Can't Be This Unintelligible isn't in archives yet, so it seems, but should I just make a new thread in a couple months when it'll actually be spring season time?

Terrible stuff I'll be watching next season: Dungeon ni Deai o Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka?/Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?; (fyi - the MC meets up with Hestia before he starts dungeon-diving, at least going by the LN) Nisekoi s2; I am a huge dork for the series, and s2 should boast more Marika antics Grisaia no Meikyuu; I've only been partially spoiled on what happens since the VN isn't translated Owari no Seraph; whose translation hasn't moved in quite a while the anime will easily clear past the stalling-point in TLs Shokugeki no Souma; oh god, why does this have the ecchi tag? I hope it's referring to the food SNAFU s2; 8man is the hero we deserve, but not the hero we need right now. UBW s2; time for more of UFO-table's fantastic animation and fight scenes Yamada and the Seven Witches; which I prefer over the author's other work Yankee-kun and Megane-chan. Let the hunt begin Possibly terrible stuff I'll likely end up watching: Ore Monogatari; everyone seems to think it's cool Denpa Kyoushi Etotama There's a bit more than I thought, honestly. Initially I thought I was only going to be watching about 3 sequels and Yamada.

Are there much in the way of details on the new Lupin III tv series? Just wondering if any of the people who worked on Fujiko Mine or Daisuke Jigen's Gravestone are involved, or if it's going to be more 'traditional' Lupin.

UBW, My Love Story, Lupin and Digimon Adventure Tri. Maybe Souma but I haven't even read the manga of that yet. Ninja Slayer is either going to be great or awful and I have no idea which is more likely.

Old school Lupin folks are involved but also he's gonna be wearing a blue jacket, so I'm optimistic that it won't be like the dull tv specials.

Digimon Adventure tri. - I want to see how they work towards the epilogue from Adventure 02. Probably not going to bother rewatching the original series though. F/SN:UBW - I have to continue since it has been a really good adaptation so far. Hello!! Kiniro Mosaic - First season was light fluff, and wasn't even particularly special, but I enjoyed it. There's lots of stuff I'm interested in, so this is an easy one to drop if need be. Hibike! Euphonium/Sound! Euphonium - I always at least check out KyoAni shows, so this gets the 3 ep test. The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan - I have a lot of friends that will be watching this, so I'll at least give it a 3 ep test. Nisekoi 2 - Guilty pleasure + Shaft = watching. Ore Monogatari!!/My Love Story!! - Heard a ton of good things about this from goons, so I'll check it out. The best monogatari is still Doukutsu Monogatari.

Also that one Digimon show that Chiaki J Konaka wrote was actually genuinely good. I think.

forbidden lesbian posted:nostalgia is a hell of a drug If YuGiOh can be good, I assume Digimon can too. I never watched Digimon as a kid though so I dunno if it's ever been good. I hope Trigger's new show is more like the first half of KLK and less like the second half. The first half was a really fun watch, and while the second half had some good stuff in it it didn't quite match up.

I thought Gintama was about nerds and had that one nerd who did the WXY female form thing on a whiteboardSakurazuka posted:Also that one Digimon show that Chiaki J Konaka wrote was actually genuinely good. I think. Is that with the second round of kids, because the first and second seasons were pretty great/weird. I didn't really watch much else of it but I remember it being good when I was younger, could just be rose-tinted glasses though

forbidden lesbian posted:nostalgia is a hell of a drug Yep. It was one of the first Saturday morning cartoons I was excited to watch every week, and I haven't touched the Adventure seasons since. I am watching Tamers, the one Chiaki J Konaka wrote, and it's decent so far, but I haven't gotten to the interesting parts yet.

This season is confusing me, because the number of adaptions I've read or at least heard of already is way fricken higher then usual. I'm not used to making informed choices! Stuff I'm definitely watching: Arslan Senki/The Heroic Legend of Arslan The manga is really good and drawn by the FMA lady so it'll probably have a decent budget behind it. There's not a hell of a lot of manga to adapt yet, though. On the other hand the novel the manga is based has has been around so it's not like they couldn't finish it if they wanted to. Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works 2nd Season I like the fights and stuff. Gintama gently caress yeah, I've missed Gintama so much. Ore Monogatari!!/My Love Story!! Because you goons won't shut up about it. Stuff I'll probably give the three episode test: Dungeon ni Deai o Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka?/Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? There's no way this isn't terrible, but I'll give it a shot and be mad about it later. Kyoukai no Rinne This is Rumiko Takahashi's retirement manga. Inuyasha sucked rear end and I never cared enough after that to check out this series but I feel obligated to give the anime a chance, for old times sake. Nagato Yuki-chan no Shoushitsu/The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan It's been years since I've given a poo poo about anything Haruhi related, but that seems to be the theme this season, so... Nisekoi 2/False Love 2 Honestly, there's enough going on this season I'll probably drop it in three episodes, like I did the first season after six. I've been reading the latest chapters in English Jump though and I don't totally hate it...This is seriously the season where every manga I'm lukewarm about gets adapted. It's bizarre. Owari no Seraph/Seraph of the End I've read like, the first chapter and the latest chapter. It feels like a watered down Attack on Titan with vampires to me, but it's not like I'm calling on my extensive knowledge of the manga here. Shokugeki no Souma The manga is extremely, intensively dumb and also a bizarrely entertaining read. I'm not sold on the series yet but maybe the anime will put me over the top. Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru. Zoku/My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU 2 Remember at the end of the first season, where the MC went all social outcast Dark Knight and crap? That was weird. I kinda liked the show though so what the hell. Yamadakun to Nananin no Majo I...thought the first big story arc in the manga was OK, substantially less enthused about the current arc. If nothing else I plan to check this out because I want to see how they adapt something that's like 35% kissing fanservice. (Everyone kisses everyone in the manga, seriously.) Overall, seems like an OK season with at least a couple things I'm guaranteed to like.

everythingWasBees posted:Whats a Gintama Shounen Jump comedy-action thing. Funny as hell and the anime is handled by people who handled stuff like Nichibros and the magical boy anime that's airing right now, so they have a good sense of comedic timing and they know how to change jokes from the manga to work in an anime format. I always tell people to check out episodes 98 and 99 since it's a great two-part episode and you don't need to know anything to enjoy it, so you should do that if you're curious Bees!

I understand why Nisekoi and a fate series get s even though they are bad, but Shokugeki no Souma? All I've heard about that is that it's not as funny as Yakitate and is just kind of weird and boring.
