So it's just a straightforward car-themed magical girl show? I might have to give it a shot, then.

Yeah, the end of episode 3 decided the show just couldn't survive without shoving everyone into swimsuits, but other than that you could show it on a Saturday morning.

Natsume Yuujinchou does not mind. It just wants to get along with everyone.

drat I wish they would make another season. It is probably the second best boring show, next to Non Non Biyori.

Natsume is the best because he fights demons by making friends with them. The opposite is way more common.

Really, just about everyone in the show is really, really nice, and that's nice.

having watched all of it i wouldn't want natsume yuujinchou to be anything but what it is

however, i do wish that the "murky conspiracy between two philosophically opposed schools of demon-hunters" thing it briefly looked like around late season 2 / early season 3 was a real show of its own

I still quite like Pleiades, it plays its magical girl ness 100% straight which makes it fairly unusual nowadays, outside of Precure, and has some really cool and occasionally surreal design work especially whenever they go into space. It does at least show that there is someone with a bit of talent left at Gainax.
My only 'problem' with it is that I'm not sure if they're deliberately yuri-baiting the two main characters despite one having an obvious guy love interest or it's just me being a weirdo with an inability to take close female friendships at face value.

It's a magical girl show sponsored by Subaru, it'd be surprising if there weren't lesbians in it

Natsume Yuujinchou is one of my most favorite anime ever. It's just so relaxing to watch with the chill soundtrack and friendly ayakashi. :3: Out of all the seasons, I liked the second one the best due to Taki's introduction.

I wouldn't mind a fourth season. Or a fifth.

So in Pleiades episode 8 they find an undiscovered gas giant larger than Jupiter at the edge of the solar system and accidentally cause a reaction turning it into a new star and thus Sol into a binary system. :psyduck: Wait, wasn't that the plot of 2010?
