he's died three times (trunks, himself, goku) and had a death fakeout. krillin's only had one more death than him and freeza will probably be brought back and killed yet again. maybe even outright erased this time freeza's also killed the most protagonists of anyone besides buu and enjoys it a lot, so it works both ways

nobody in super is even remotely similar to early dbz gohan I don't think kale existed purely to lose to jiren either, tho this fight was entirely set up to make him seem strong

toppo is cool because we've been able to see him in action a fair amount and have reason to be invested the rest haven't had a lot of set up by comparison. obviously jiren is gonna get a lot of stuff over the course of the tournament but right now, toppo's the best one and the rest are just kinda there
